I recently had my wood shake roof replaced with an regular roof and used Apex Exteriors. Cannot say enough good things about the company and the people that work there as was a great experience from start to finish. Worked with David Downs who was one of the best contractors I have worked with - he was always timely and responsive to my emails and questions, visited our home/site while the work was being done to check in and, most important, he was honest about the work that was needed and explained in detail why some small additional work suggested by one other roofing company was NOT necessary and was just an unnecessary added expense. That honesty goes a long way. The crew that did the work was amazing (and friendly) and despite the tremendous mess that removal of the shake roof was, each night when they left, they cleaned up the mess so well that it was like they hadn't even started the project (not kidding, it was impressive). Highly recommend Apex for roofing and David Downs as your point person as great experience and love the roof they installed.

Unfortunately, we had a very serious leak in our roof due to hail damage. After reading numerous reviews, we chose Apex Exteriors Inc to repair our roof. We worked with David Downs and Oval from Apex and they and their entire crew did a terrific job. The repair was fairly tricky and they did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and completing the repair. All of the work they did for us was of the utmost quality and we would highly recommend working with them given their expertise, their integrity and their dependability.

Absolutely excellent work from the estimate to finished product. It looks great. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up as well. During the estimate appointment, Ken explained what would and could be done and that they would require a third of the estimate as a down payment. We were very pleased with the results. Two minor problems: one with getting ComEd out to put the cover on the electricity going into the house and one of the crew had some chicken for lunch and left the bones under the tree in front of the house. Of course one of the dogs got into them. She seems ok so far. I would recommend them highly, very pleasant to work with.

Where to begin? Salesman cant write up a clean, proper estimate for work being completed. Salesman submitted 2 total estimates to me and both were incomplete. I was told a 3rd finalized estimate would be sent to my email. Still havent received it. The boss of this place apparently has no personal phone number to call if their is an issue. Requested multiple calls from the boss to follow up on why his salesman missed our appointment to sign paperwork to start the work on my house . Found out their boss decided to leave the office early for the day. Great leadership skills here. I mentioned i would pay for all the repairs after job is complete and the estimate paperwork stated this was an acceptable choice for payment. Now later down the road in this process, they need 1/3rd of the repair cost up front?? Nope! Give me a break. Time is money. Calling businesses to get repair estimates is time consuming. Asked for a rock bottom price for all this hassle i was having with them. Not happy.
