We live in Cedar Ridge (near Sonora Ca.)have been in the process of trying to get new roof installed for the past two years. It was very important for us to choose a local contractor Not only to keep money in the local economy but because of the requirements when installing a roof at our elevation 4800’. We reached out to Joaquin Roofing because they were advertising they were a local company. After speaking with them it was obvious that not only were they from out of the area they definitely were not informed or knowledgeable with regards to dealing with ice and snow and other considerations specific to high elevations. With all of that said their price was definitely cheaper than the local companies but I guess you get what you pay for. “ Joaquin roofing” I work in the “defense” field from home and my wife travels for her job as an Insurance adjuster and deals with construction companies routinely. We moved from the bay area about seven years ago. We spoke with three different local roofing companies and they were all asked the same questions that we asked your company. It became very clear to us that they were certain things that needed to be done because of the ice and snow that your company was not aware of. We ended up going with Roscelli Roofing , who’s actually from Murphy’s and we are absolutely delighted with the finished product and would recommend him highly. Roscelli explained the differences that I just spoke about and how roofing companies from the valley tend to pay their employees by what they do which is called “piecework”. This way of delegating your employees as subcontractors for a very minimal amount forces them to work faster and to take shortcuts which is very dangerous especially in the mountains where there is ice and snow and multiple story dwellings which my wife can reiterate as she deals with accident mitigation on a daily basis. Just a piece of advice, this is a public forum and you might want to treat people with kid gloves when responding before you assume...you know what they say about assuming…

Best roofers in the valley Guaranteed

I'm not impressed with this Company. I asked them ti come out and take a look at Some facia boards that needed to be replaced and also to evaluate my roof for cracked tiles. The guy who came to do the estimate seemed really nice and knowledgeable he said that I needed a whole new roof. I asked if he needed to go on the roof to evaluate it he said no. That seemed weird to me so I asked if he could at least get on a ladder so he can see it level and he said he didn't need to because he could see from the ground there were cracked tiles. Then he pointed them out to me, took some pictures showed me some examples of composite roof and then told me he would be in touch with my quote. Since I've been assumed I needed a new roof I called to more referrals for estimates both of the guys from other companies went up on the roof and both told me the same thing no need for new roof - we only had four - five cracked tiles and need the valleys cleaned out( a 300$job) cracks he had pointed out to me from the ground were just seams in the tile ( which apparently I should have realized that my husband was shaking his head at me that I bought that one. lol
