We needed maintenance on our gutter system. Joseph and Johnny came out to clean the gutters, seal some corners, and reattach a down pipe. They were polite and efficient, and they completed the repairs quickly. We are very pleased with their work.

I am very disappointed and concerned in doing business with Byers. After seeing their TV ad, I was so looking forward to having them install new gutters on my home. I thought they would be a caring, professional company....I was wrong. I can't comment on their product or their work because it was never completed or even started. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate on Tuesday, April 17th at 11:00 am. Jeff Pickard showed up and gave me an estimate. Even though it was quite a bit of money, I decided to have them install the gutters. I informed Mr. Pickard that I wanted to have siding installed so I may not be ready for a while. I wanted to have the leader boards going up to the high peaks wrapped so painting in the future would not be required. Mr. Pickard told my daughter and me that 'he guaranteed no company would wrap those boards' because it would entail involving the roof. I was disappointed hearing that but thought he knew what he was talking about. Mr. Pickard said he worked in that capacity at one point so if I was postponing the gutter work due to having the boards wrapped, it wasn't necessary . As reqested by Mr. Pickard, I gave a down payment of $1,000. At this point I was happy with Byers but disappointed about the siding news. The very next day, I had a siding company give me an estimate. We asked him about the leader boards and he informed us "yes" they cover the leader boards all the time. That was good news. I called Byers and spoke with Scott about postponing the gutters, he had no problem with it. Now the problem begins. The siding company said I should have a credit coming from Byers because the siding company would remove the existing gutters and haul them away. The siding company has completed their work and did a beautiful job, even covering the leader boards. I am extremely happy with their product and work ethics. He said we should receive labor credit for the work that wasn't required by Byers and the hauling away of the product. After numerous calls and messages to Mr. Pickard over a period of weeks, I finally received a call from him. Unfortunately, I wasn't home. After receiving his message, I immediately returned his call. Again, weeks later, I still haven't heard from Mr. Pickard. I called him last Thursday, June 21st, letting Mr. Pickard know if I didn't hear from him by this past Monday, June 25th, I would write this review and contact someone with authority in the company for a resolution. It is now Thursday, June 28th, and I still haven't heard a word from Mr. Pickard. As a matter of fact I haven't heard from anyone working for Byers in weeks. I'm not even sure Mr. Pickard still works for Byers. In my message to him, I stated this and asked him to let me know. However, his greeting states he does still work for them. I would have thought Mr. Pickard would contact me to see how things were going even if I didn't have a problem. But when a problem does exist, I would have thought Mr. Pickard would contact me immediately. It's been over 2 months now and they still have my $1,000. I am a Senior Citizen [75 years of age ~ soon 76] on a limited income. I don't have the resources to have a $1,000. 'out there' waiting on someone to make a decision. It appears Mr. Pickard is only interested in making a sale and not in the customer. If Mr. Pickard receives pay or a bonus dependant on his sales, I definitely feel he has not earned anything from this sale. I hope all Byers sales personnel don't feel this way or conduct business in the same manner Mr. Pickerd does. If I don't hear something from someone [not Mr. Pickard ~ but someone capable of making a decision] very soon, I will contact the CSLB and BBB. This has gotten way out of control and has become ridiculous now. This is one of the worst forms of customer service I've ever been involved in.

Kyle just installed 2 solar tubes and what a great job, efficient, neat, and answered all my questions. I am glad I called Byers to get this done. The office staff was also very helpful and when I had to reschedule due to emergency they were very helpful and concerned. Thank you Kyle.

Byers installed two solar tubes, one in our office and one in our long dark hall. They have came back twice to do minor tweaks, always with a positive additude to make our Byers experience a positive one. Both David and Kent are true professionals. I would not hesitate to recommend.them to others. The also have a 10 years warranty for any roof leaks resulting from their work. Double what other companies offered. Needless to say, we are very satisfied. Thx, Joe from Napa, CA
