Bought a new build house this cowboy had done the roof and render on. Roof was replaced fully after 10 months as the slates kept coming off. Turns out he had glued a large number of the slates in instead of nailing them. There were 10 major faults with the roof yet he still said he stood by his work ! 2 years on our render has been survey multiple times and no one can agree how best to fix it. It has been classed as not meeting minimum standard and has not been completed “in a workmanlike manner”. This guy knows what he did and has been telling others in the business about it, he thinks it’s funny. As for having a 10 year Guarantee on a new build property, trying using it, it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. If you are buying a new build ask who did the roof & render and if it’s this piece of scum walk away or you will have years of stress and argument ahead of you while your house falls apart around you. This guy should be banned or better still he should be in jail !!!!!
