We chose Chesapeake Thermal because they were a local company and had excellent reviews on Angie's List. We were not disappointed! I had specific requirements for my windows, and Tom and Matt made sure that I got exactly what I wanted and needed. The installation team was terrific. My new windows are beautiful, and my electric bill has dropped by 20% a month. We were so pleased with our experience with them that when it came time to replace two patio doors they were the only company we called.

While the doors (steel entry door and storm door) cost quite a bit more than at Lowe’s, they were worth it! The entry was measured twice, by different people, to ensure correct fit. Not only are the doors high quality, but the entire surround was updated to ensure a good fit. We are very pleased.

The original Anderson windows were installed in 1985 and were starting to show condensation between the panes of glass. Getting 30 years out of these windows isn't bad. We decided to get three bids and used Angies List to select the bidders. We met with the bidders at the beginning of December. Tom Dawson of Chesapeake Thermal met with us to go over the job and sent us a bid on December 9th. We selected Chesapeake Thermal of Davidsonville because of the price, the good Angies List reviews, and the fact that he lives a few miles away (we like to support local small businesses). The work required the removal of the outside cedar 5/4" x 4" trim before the windows could be removed. I wanted to save the old windows for another project and they were able to save all but three. The crew did a good job and were willing to work with me on the replacement trim. John Dawson, Tom's brother, cut the trim and I stained it before he put it back up. They also made an extra effort to save some interior trim in the sun room so I could reuse it to retrim two windows. They finished the job in three days and worked in the bitter cold and wind. Overall, they did a great job and I highly recommended them..
