My wife & I were in the process of purchasing a new home. We had inspection, moisture & radon tests done on a stucco home we had a purchase agreement on with the Sullivan's (see prior review). We were referred to Krech Exteriors to review the current moisture readings, compare them with a prior moisture test and water remediation that had been completed & to conduct a site visit to provide feedback on the areas needing to be addressed with elevated moisture readings. We asked how we could obtain a warranty to help minimize our risk and shared our concerns in owning a stucco home while taking a conservative approach (since we haven't owned stucco in the past & have a personal attorney who counseled us to not buy a stucco home based on extensive case work they've had with them). Steve, from Krech Exteriors, took significant time to listen to our concerns & to provide a thorough examination with the current owners present along with both realtors & wrote up a recommendation based on our request. We were extremely pleased and thankful with their thorough explanation & timely approach. Since we were concerned with elevated moisture readings with a stucco home, we were wanting to mitigate our risk. The most thorough way to do so was to remove stucco, identify the source of the water intrusion, address it & re-stucco the home in a fashion that would provide us with a warranty. The only way to obtain a warranty was to remove the entire wall where moisture exists & replace the stucco on the entire wall after addressing the problem. This would have provided us with a 10-year workmanship warranty which we were interested in. This, however, was a lot to ask of the current home owners which is why we decided to cancel the purchase agreement. That said, we were very appreciative that Steve took as much time to explain considerations with stucco, to listen to our concerns AND to even be willing to get on a call with the homeowners' own contractor (who wouldn't agree to doing so) to discuss differing professional opinions. We have never worked with a contractor who took as much time as Steve did to explain "the why" behind his recommendations that were in response to our request to mitigate risk & have a warranty moving forward had we purchased the home. I would absolutely recommend to talk with Steve and Krech Exteriors. I know if we have future projects we will absolutely be giving them a call!

The Krech representative was very thorough in explaining the process to us and then following up with written confirmation. We had a new roof put on our home as well as fascia and soffit around the house. We are very pleased with the work done. The crews were very friendly and cleaned up nicely when they were done.
