I would highly recommend Don Strauss and his family for any roofing project. They replaced my roof in a very professional manner with care leaving the premises neat. i have referred them to several clients since and always receive thanks for the recommendation.

PLEASE READ THIS SO YOU ARE AWARE!! I was recommended to call this company. I was told there was a 5-6 wait for REPAIR work. I said I would wait. I waited. No phone call so I called them following up. They stated someone would be out to REPAIR soon but did not commit to a date...this after 6-7 weeks of waiting. I then called them once a week to determine the date of repair. They couldn't even commit to a date it seemed. Finally, late one day the reception stated the repair man would be out next day because I kept calling them. The next day the projected rains came and I heard nothing by noon time, so I called them, inquiring about the repair person, they told me he would be out soon. I told them it was raining, I told them it was a metal 7/12 or 8/12 pitch two story roof. The receptionist stated their repair man can do anything. I asked them how can you repair in the rain? Again, the reply was that the repair guy is a "wizard". Made no sense to me. I called my building contractor and he stated "he cannot repair the leak in the rain; he cannot even be on the roof". When the repair man did show up later, he stated he was there for an ESTIMATE, he was not fixing the leak, he was not able to get on the roof in the rain. Yet I was told distinctly that I had waited nearly 2 months for a REPAIR to take place. What I waited 2 months for was an ESTIMATE. Big difference. The repair man said the would get back to me in a couple days with an estimate and could start repairs. Interestingly, that was 3 weeks ago. I did not hear back from them. So I called, again, and the receptionist acted surprised that my leak was not repaired! Folks, this is crazy. What is going on with this company? If they can't or won't repair, or too busy....whatever....then they should just reject the potential business customers have. This business is extremely unprofessional, unreliable, unorganized and yes, unethical. I have been waiting and willing to pay good money for good repair and instead my leak is worsening (have you know leaks to get better?) which will cost even more money. I do not understand at all their business practice; I have never experienced anything in my life like this. The receptionist is a ditzy girl that I liken to a human automaton programmed with the same phone blurbs for everyone. I feel sorry for her and wonder what garbage can she discarded her conscience in. The office manager is no better and appears cut of the same cloth. I am informing my very ethical contractor of my story to spread the word in this area of their shoddy business practices. Oh yes, the recent reviews support my story. Unfortunately, there are no negative (-) stars or I would have chosen (-5 stars).

I will make a point not to recommend this company to anybody. I do not remember how many times I called in the las few months for them to give me an estimate to repair the cap of the fireplace of my house. Finally one tech showed up one day after 6 pm when it was already dark and told me that it had to be scheduled for a later day. I am still waiting!!!Every time I called , the same lady answered the phone and told me that the person responsible for scheduling jobs was going to call me soon. I am still waiting!!! I was never able to communicate with a supervisor or the owner of the company so I could complain.All I wanted was someone to call me to schedule the repair. They replaced our house's roof a few years ago and I was expecting the minimal courtesy of calling back.

I have called Big "D" Roofing no less than 6 times in the last week to have a rep come out for an estimate on a roof replacement. I have left my name and property address each time with a receptionist and have yet to obtain a return phone call. If this is how they respond to new business, I can only imagine on what their follow up is when a job is in progress.

Great local company. Great price and materials. Fast, but quality work. Honest about plywood replacement with no hidden tricks. Caleb and Paula and the rest are great people to work with! Highly recommended.
