Lord's Roofing can not be trusted...I would give them a -5 star if possible....cost us a month in time and frustration. We were looking to put a new roof on our upstairs porch, and fix the leak that resulted from a bad design layout. I called five different roofing companies that I had researched, and had no reputation online. Two contractors came out and gave us bids, they were pleasant and knowledgeable, and certainly worth consideration. However, we still had three more companies to look at. The third company is the company we will profile today, which was Lord's Roofing. Chuck Powers came out and give us an estimate. He was personable, knowledgeable and came in with the highest bid so far. As a business owner, value always trumps price. I consider myself a decent judge of character. After interviewing Chuck we agreed on services and signed a contract. I asked him if I should cancel the other roofers, and he agreed that we should that Lord's was the roofing company that we would profile as the go to market leader. In a later phone conversation. Chuck let me know that the materials had been ordered and that he would be there the weekend after the fourth to complete the job. I attempted to contact Chuck many times as the weekend of the 13th approached, as we were expecting them as agreed. I spoke to him briefly and he promised to call me back in five minutes, which did not happen. Communication is a critical element when working with any company. My gut was now telling me that I might have made a very poor judgment error. However, I was still willing to give Chuck and Lord's Roofing the benefit of doubt that something had come up and they would get back to me. I’m never surprised when a company bounces back with integrity and follow through, when as a company, part of what we do is help struggling companies, repair their damaged reputations by troubleshooting and educating their staff, and or leadership in helping them correct and implement the systems and strategies that will fix the problems and position them as the market leader. I heard back from Chuck who said our materials had arrived and work would be completed that weekend. Which followed with more excuses. Several more conversations took place and again an agreement with work to be finished that weekend. It has been over a month now and work which was to be done this weekend has not. As I still have not heard back from Chuck Powers and Lord's Roofing, I am giving them my first ever minus 5 star rating and do not encourage anyone to use their service. Integrity is doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do in all situations, and this company does not appear to have that integrity. It has been a frustrating, waste of time dealing with them. With the advent of the smart phone people can instantly check out your reputation online. This is one company I recommend you stay away from.
