What's up with James Shelton Roofing? 10-27-17 Shelton Roofing completed installation of a new roof and two new skylights. 12-5-17 technician returned for corrections due to failed city inspection 1-18-18 new roof passed final city inspection. 2-4-18 after a heavy rain, the roof leaked around one of the skylights 2-14-18 technician caulked skylight and removed tar from top of skylight The many avoidable mistakes made during new roof installation: exterior light globe broken, tar on coquina siding, deep scratches in two new skylights, and a dollop of tar on top of a skylight that looks like a turd. An off-ridge vent is installed in the wrong place and refused to install one in the correct location. The number of vents meets code but one doesn't vent any hot air build up. Payment is due upon completion whether it leaks or not. Incidentally Shelton Roofing motto is "Simply the Best". LOL. Caveat Emptor. 5-1-18 Went into attic yesterday and discovered a large pile of roofing debris deposited on top of the insulation. It is below where an off ridge vent was installed. Shelton Roofing - a big disappointment.

I needed a new a roof on my house. So i called a few roofing company's and they all were very expensive. The last company i called was James Shelton Roofing. That should have been the first company i called. Service was beyond excellent. Mr. Shelton was very helpful with getting my roof done. Highly recommend!!! During Thanksgiving week I noticed water leaking into my attic space in three different places. I called James Shelton Roofing and they did a site visit the next day. I was given two options either repair the existing tile roof or replace it. In working with the team at Shelton we determined it was better to replace the underlayment and reuse the clay tiles - thereby creating a significant savings. The work was recently completed. While work was going on there was some minor damage to the house that James Shelton immediately responded to. We have been very pleased by the work and professionalism of the entire Shelton organization.

Had them patch a leak around my chimney on August 1, 2012. Shingles were the FURTHEST thing from matching the existing shingles, and now on September 24, 2013 I spent 5 min crawling back into the attic after hearing a drip following some rain and there is a new leak in the same spot and I've realized they never replaced part of the decking which they removed. If nothing else their 1 year warranty was accurate.
