Charlie was amazing very efficient and got the job done as planned! He went out of his way to help me with my salon! Loved working with Charlie he’s your go to guy!
Charlie and crew came out and sided my garage which consisted of putting nail nailers over the existing brick he was cheaper than the other guys bids and gave me better products than the other guys. let alone the extra work he did for me. that I feel he did not charge me enough for. I will call him for all my projects now
Charlie is great, he spends the time to research the design to do it perfect. I had a custom roof built for my 5th wheel a few years ago and it turned out perfect, I was a Engineer for 14 years which means I'm picky. I recently hired Charlie to build a custom stationary dock on my 3 acre pond. This was a challenge but Charlie did the research and found a mounting system consisting of four 5' load bearing pins on footings at 45 deg to hold the dock solid. Charlie also found a long lasting Fiberon product with 25 year fade and stain warranty for the deck, it looks great. Charlie takes the time to do the job to your specifications and work within your budget. If you want a job done right, call CS Home Remodeling.
We hired C.S. Remodeling to install new windows to match the newer windows in our home, new screen and entrance doors, replace the roof and siding on the garage, and replace the siding on our house. Let me first say, the finished product looks great, but how we got here was extremely bumpy. The owner, Charlie, is great to work with; he's easy going and is knowledgeable. Unfortunately, that "easy going" way he has can translate into some headaches later on. First, he never had me sign anything. The esitmate he gave me was confusing and he never had me sign it. Not that big of deal, but is a symptom of a bigger problem. We had several false starts due to weather, fine.; but the issue is he didn't call or text to tell me they wouldn't be there that day. One day it was just forcasted to rain, which it did not, and nobody showed up to start. He also is very scatter-brained when it comes to the days/times he tells you. His communication skills need lots of work. We never received a final, itemized invoice. Next, he ordered windows without consulting us. The windows he ordered did not match the newer windows in our home. To his credit, he ordered replacement sashes that day and assured me they would take 2 weeks to come in...they took a month. Which turned out to be a recurring problem with his crew, because it took his crew more than 2 weeks longer to finish the job than I was first told (this does not include the week, yes week, of false starts). We had also discussed the trim around the front windows and front door...which was not done as we discussed. I immediately called him and he came out that night. He gave me some excuse about the back doors (which made no sense) and then said that there were no 1×6's on the sides of the door. Instead of buying a 1×6 he told his crew to do this without consulting me. We discussed the solution and they fixed it. Looks great, but this could have been avoided by discussing the solution with me, the homeowner, first. Communication is not his strong suit. Now let's talk about his crew. They were slow. It took them over 2 weeks longer than it should have. They were constantly on their phones or sitting down. There were also several days where there were only 2 or 3 here to do the job. They were smoking next to open windows in the house, we have a 1yr old; they didn't care, so we ha to shut the (wrong) windows and turn the a/c on, even during cooler days. His crew does not clean up after themselves. Broken glass, nails, screws, siding shavings, insulation board, and cigarette butts are all things I'm STILL cleaning up several weeks later. There were nights they wouldn't even sweep the driveway unless they knew Charlie was coming that day. One of his employees was drinking a beer in my front yard after they had "finished for the day." My yard is not a bar. They also failed to finish around the windows and Charlie had to fix it when he delivered the correct window sashes. His crew is the most unprofessional group of installers I have ever had the displeasure of having worked on my house. He has told me that he let some of that crew go, but I have no real way of knowing. Charlie was not much better. He personally installed the (wrong) windows, the screen doors, and the entrance doors. He left dust, dirt, and wood shavings at EVERY window. In our 1yr old's room he left a long and sharp piece of wood, a small screw and metal piece on the floor. He apologized up and down, but it should never have happened. He also failed to properly install the front screen door glass. Because it took over 2 weeks longer than it should have and all the problems with his crew, Charlie "graciously" did not charge us for the correct window sashes, the front door fix, or the install of the doors. Great, right? Sure, until you remember that the windows were his fault for not consulting with us before ordering, as was the front door for not giving us what we had originally talked about. So really, he only didn't charge us $300 for door install. Would I recommend C.S. Remodeling? Nope.
The owner of the company is great. He works with you on all the details on the project. He also is very good on sticking to the scheduling, and it easy to get ahold of.
