i have waited almost a year to review this company, as that is how long it has taken me to be calm enough to write a review without resorting to name calling. If you look at the Better Business Bureau complaints you will see many other people have had similar problems. We found this company at the Union County Fair in La Grande, Oregon and asked for someone to contact us to talk about a door we needed on a rental house. We didn't hear from anyone for months until we finally called the company directly. A salesman came out and helped us pick out a door, took some measurements, and gave us the quote which we agreed too. The salesman stated the door would be in in about three weeks, (which if the owner can respond to these reviews he will pipe in here to say that is not what was on the contract), to be clear the salesman told us this information and it is not stated that way on the contract, however the contract wording is written in a way that can be misconstrued. A few weeks later someone called and asked to measure the door again which we gladly let them, this gentleman said he would get the door ordered. A few weeks after that another gentleman asked to measure the door and claimed he would order it. Fast forward a few months without hearing back from the company and a whole slew of phone calls asking for the status of the door. We finally were told the door had been in and no one knew why we were not called. A couple of weeks and a ton more phone calls, missed appointments, and loads of frustration I gave up. I told the company to take the door and shove it. This house is a vacation rental and we were blocking our calendar dates and losing revenue in order to accommodate this company's installation schedule. After more angry phone calls and excuses from an owner who actually yelled and then hung up on me we relented and decided to have the door put in, but only after receiving a promise from the owner that we would receive a generous discount for our trouble. The owner claimed he would install it himself, when the day came the owner was no where to be found and the man who delivered the door also claimed we would get a steep discount. They hired a sub contractor to install our door. The funny thing is, the door that they measured three times and took weeks to order....it was too big. The subcontractor had to cut a larger opening in order to make it work and it barely did. Once the work was complete the owner than called and asked for a check but he wanted it taped to the door at the rental house, I am assuming so he would not have to face myself or my husband. The huge discount he promised was 10%, definitely not worth my time and frustration. The only good thing we got out of this was getting to know the subcontractor this company hired. We have used him for several other door projects and love his work. Long story short, I do not recommend this company, they are disorganized, rude when confronted, and the owner shouldn't be allowed to speak the way he does to customers. I do not regret writing this review and I don't usually give reviews but this one has been weighing on my mind for quite some time.
We are extremely pleased with our experience with Rocky Mountain Exteriors. Their representatives were pleasant, helpful, and informative. All aspects were covered before the start of the re-roofing job. Before the job, the project supervisor visited us and invited any questions we may have for him. The roofing itself was completed in an expeditious, yet professional, manner. Several homes in our subdivision have also been re-roofed, but by other companies. Our roof far surpasses the others in aesthetics and workmanship. We wholeheartedly recommend Rocky Mountain Exteriors for their professionalism, courtesy, and excellent craftsmanship. We rate them 5 stars.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We live in Quail Ridge and had RME do our roof. They did one section incorrectly and we had an immediate leak in the garage. It took over 6 months to even get someone to look at the problem and, now, more than a year later it is still not addressed. Todd has ignored and shuffled the problem to others rather than quickly fix it. Now we have interior damage that both RME and the shingle manufacturer have refused to pay for. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to pay for all repairs ourselves and sue RME. Shockingly poor customer service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
Rocky Mountain Exteriors did an absolutely beautiful job on our roof. From start to finish the whole procedure was smooth and effortless. Levi worked with our insurance agent and really provided us with excellent service. The crew was courteous and polite and made sure our plants and landscape were protected. The end result is such a HUGE improvement from the original roof and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality and appearance of our new roof.
The young man who installed our new gutter communicated kindly and clearly. He was open to discussion about a creative solution to a difficult guttering situation. I appreciated that he took care to NOT squish my newly budding wile flower seeds. I love watching the torrent of rainfall as it bypasses my garden via the great new gutter. Thank you!
