Just an awesome person and an excellent roofer too! :-) We are thrilled with our new roof and the professional and impressive job that his guys did for us on a very steep roof. The work was done fast and efficiently, as was the clean up. When the crew left, Nick stayed behind picking up any debris that might have blown across the yard and into the shrubs. Nick and his staff installed my new roof and he and his contractors built my new kitchen. Nick put in my new roof a few years before the 2014-2015 "Snowmagedden" in Boston, when so many people were dealing with ice dams. But my roof was well sealed. No water dripping from my ceiling or down my walls. And when I called to say that I was worried about the weight of all the snow on my roof, his guys were quickly at my house shoveling snow off the roof. During the course of the roof replacement, I asked him to recommend someone to replace all my ceilings. He recommended Carl, who put in beautiful ceilings at a very reasonable cost. Then I asked Nick to replace my kitchen. He and his carpenters worked with my kitchen designer to install the design. Jason, his tile guy, pointed me to a design firm that helped me choose a beautiful tile design to complement the cabinets. And Jason's work was meticulous. Nick's plumber was fantastic. He made good recommendations and I still love the choices he recommended. The carpenters, who arrived each day before I left for work, did a fantastic job. Nick stopped by frequently to check in and make sure all was going according to plan and everyone showed up as needed. It's been 5 years and I still love my kitchen and receive many compliments about it.

Nick Lunig and his business Lunig Construction came recommended so we had him come out and examine a number of repairs and remodeling projects we needed done at our home. The first project we had him handle was moving a washer and dryer from one floor to another. He quickly coordinated the work with a plumber, electrician, and other laborers. The electrician knocked out our Internet service for days and put the hole in the exterior wall for the dryer vent in the wrong place. I told Nick of these mistakes and told him I didn't want that electrician back at my home. After I had already told him that and had spent several hours of my time troubleshooting and correcting those mistakes myself, Nick simply sent that same electrician to my home—without even informing me. Nick then went to the trouble of putting his business' sign on our property to advertise his business, but never went to the trouble of examining the electrician's shoddy work or making any amends. Nick was a nice, friendly guy, so we gave him another opportunity. He was eager to handle our kitchen remodeling, so we had him meet with us and our kitchen designer. We went over it thoroughly with Nick and discussed multiple aspects of the project. Nick boasted of his local connections and how he gets his subcontractors to do work promptly because he pays them right away. He was eager for the project and said he'd coordinate it with the kitchen designer. Days later, he sent us a baffling email telling us simply that our best bet would be having someone else handle the whole project. I replied by email and phone and asked for an explanation. He simply ignored us. He wasted hours of our time and set us back in our remodeling project. Since Nick was a friendly guy who struck me as honest, I'd give him three rather than one out of five stars. UPDATE: After leaving this review, I received a letter in the mail from Nick with some explanations. Though I would have preferred Nick be reliable and communicative before this review was posted, it was nevertheless a nice letter and I thought I'd update this review to reflect that.

Following recent storm damage, we reached out to Lunig Construction for help putting everything right again. Nick was onsite within hours and promptly dealt with the safety concerns and limited the damage. Nick and his team were great to work with and in short order the roof, exterior and interior were as good as new. The end result exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend Lunig Construction.

Nick has worked on two houses for my husband and me over the past eight years. In our old house, Nick solved persistent roof leaks that had not been solved by anyone else, installed several new skylights, and rescued our roof during that awful winter a few years back. In our new house, Nick has overseen every repair and improvement we have made, including repairing and painting the exterior, repairing doors and windows, taking off a deck and rebuilding built ins. Nick is always reliable and responsive. He has an incredible crew of wonderful people working for him, and he keeps complicated jobs on schedule, solving every problem, large and small, with honesty and humor.
