Michael recently put a new roof on our house in Sandwich. We could not be more pleased with the construction process and outcome. His work crew was courteous, efficient, and most importantly, thorough while performing the work contracted. Additionally, the cleanup job was fantastic. The new roof looks exactly as we had imagined and was all accomplished at a fair price. We would certainly strongly consider Michael Burke Construction for any additional work we may need in the future. Thanks Michael for a job well done.
Mike was great! Called back within an hour, came out the next day to take a look at the job and provided a quote within 24 hours. His crew arrived on the day he scheduled and completed the job (new roof) in 2 days. All materials and debris was removed from the property. Mike was very professional and courteous.
Used Mike at the end of September as a “roofing specialist” to inspect a roof on a house we were buying, as the home inspector had told us the roof “didn’t look right” in a couple of sections. He said it looked like the shingles were not laying flat and had possibly been blown up in a windstorm, etc. Mike agreed to come within a couple of days, and meet me at the house at 9 a.m. When I arrived at 8:55, Mike was already there and was coming down his ladder from the roof. I can’t comment on how long he was up there, because he was done by the time I arrived. He then handed me a bill for $250 to “inspect roof and its components” and told me everything looked fine except for a couple of nails sticking up that he removed. This past Monday, the roof leaked in the master bedroom to the point that it soaked the bed and stained both the ceiling and walls in the master bedroom and bathroom. I called the builder immediately who sent someone to look at it and found that there was water that "had been collecting up there for a while" and this latest rain was the tipping point to make it start leaking into the bedroom. I emailed Mike as well, to inquire about his $250 inspection and his response was “I did a thorough inspection of the roof and at that time almost 3 months ago there were no visible problems other than the couple of nails showing. We have had massive rains for the last 3 months and almost 3 months later your getting a leak. Our terms do not cover unforeseen conditions.” Needless to say, I think that was a really lame answer. If he had inquired about “where was the leak?” or “what were their findings?” and tried to offer an explanation/apology as to why he may have missed that, I would have been ok with that. But blaming it on massive rains? This company has very low standards apparently. It’s a 4-year-old house and heavy rain should not mean leaks. In my opinion, very unprofessional and quite disappointing.
You couldn’t ask for anything more. His crew was professional, showed up on time, they were fast and courteous. And the cleanup was amazing. I would recommend him to everyone I know. afterwards
I have used Mike in my solar business for multiple roofing jobs, and i have never been more pleased with the price of his work and how the job always comes out on time. His labor crews leave the job site clean and tidy. You will not be disappointed with his communication and effort to get the job done right the first time. His experience goes far beyond roofing and he has fixed problems for me that go above the call of duty. I will continue to use Mike with all my roofing work in the future and i can say you will too if you give him the chance to earn your business. Thank you Mike for all the hard work you put in at an unbeatable price!!
