Our house and roof line has a pretty unique low slope. They did a great job with the install and really worked hard to communicate status updates to us while working through the unpredictable Michigan winter weather. The crew was friendly and always willing to address any concerns or questions we had. We've already referred them to our neighbor.
Our new metal roof is amazing. It's more beautiful than I'd even imagined, especially the dark brown shingle color we picked to go with the brick of our house. We get so many compliments, and people have asked, "Who did it? How much did it cost?" It cost less than asphalt shingles will cost for the lifetime of the metal, that's what it cost. Plus, recently had a small cosmetic issue, and they came out and fixed it without any issue or fuss -- just, "Had someone come by and it's done." If you are at all considering a metal roof: a. Do it, it's worth it, and b. Call these guys, they are utterly professional and know their stuff!
I just wanted to mention that I am very pleased with their responsiveness to a service call. We had some unusual rain and wind recently. I developed a spot on my ceiling area and contacted them. They do have a service call policy that simply states that there is a charge if it's from something other than the roof. Very fair. As it turns out, my leak was from a window and they pointed it out and also showed pictures. I still appreciate knowing and their response.
Our experience with this company was excellent. Unfortunately, our story involves first having a horrible experience with another company. The details of that story are extensive but suffice it to say that the whole roof needed to be redone. We were understandably a bit nervous and VERY thorough in interviewing and vetting who would come out for the second time. Metal Roofs of Michigan has very proficient teams and their communication is very tight. They diagnosed and fixed some known and newly discovered errors from the previous company. They listened to me and executed on some unique design elements that I asked for, and they, per my request, documented and created a file for me regarding the errors of the previous crew. Maybe best of all, our house once again stays dry when it rains. That hasn't been the case for quite a while!
If you call them to set up an appointment, you're not likely to get a human on the phone. Maybe (Beth?) will call back in a week or so using an out-of-state phone number. Called several times, with no response at all. I'm guessing they really don't want any more business, or they're going out of business. Too bad, I talked with someone who used them some time ago, and he said they used to be a good company.
