Warning, Please Read before you Hire this Man!! I hired Mike from Chirri Building last year to fully Remodel my Master Bathroom. I thought I had done everything right in picking a company. I used a company that was from my home town who had done work for my Own Parents and a Neighbor. My mother had used them when the Father was still alive (Before the son Mike took over) and the neighbor had used the son Mike somewhat recently to me hiring him. So there was a level of trust from the beginning that the job would be done. Boy was I wrong!! We (stupidly) paid him a large sum up front based on this trust for much of the work and materials. I was in a high risk pregnancy and Mike promised the job would be done in 8 weeks which in all reality in could of been done in about a month. Mike than had his own brother by himself gut our entire bathroom which took several weeks. It should have been a 2 day job according to every professional that has seen the bathroom. After that, pretty much nothing went on for months. He had a plumber and a electrician come out once or twice for a hour or so. To this day, I have no clue what they did in the gutted bathroom. Mike than would constantly make excuses on why no one was showing up to work and why nothing was being done. He than got someone to come over and throw up some drywall and frame the shower. When I would inquired if he had ordered any materials like the fixtures that I had picked out, he would say he had but in fact had Not. He than tried to charge me thousands above what was allotted for fixtures in the contract. I already knew what they cost from picking them out Myself and went on to order them myself, Saving Thousands of dollars that he tried to scam me out of. He had no explanation on why I could get them myself without a contractors discount from a plumbing supply store for thousands less. The delaying and excuses went on for months until we caught on and realized what was happening. After giving him chance after chance to get the job done, we realized that Nothing was ever going to get done!! We realized that he had obviously spent the money on Something else and could not buy the materials or afford to hire anyone to show up. We than grew very wary of him and told him our concerns. He had no answers for our concerns and just start crying. It was very odd! When we told him he had 2 weeks to get the job done or he was fired, he frantically found some local men near me to partially tile the bathroom and than went on to Never Pay Them and write them a bounced check. He is a very very bad man and I would not recommend anyone to hire him. It took me a while to write this review as I was in a High Rise Pregnancy from the Start which Only grew worse due to Mike. I developed High Blood Pressure and was hospitalized with the chance of being induced. My baby would have been premature and have to remain in the Hospital for weeks. The only reason the Doctor had for this high Blood Pressure was Stress. Mike was the Only Stress In My Life at the time. Imagine being in your third trimester (barely able to move) and having to walk across your entire house to get sick or use the bathroom 50 times during the night because someone gutted your bathroom and took your money. It was basically still in shambles at that point. We than sent him a letter that he was officially fired and that we intend on pursuing legal action. I still have no master bathroom as I gave birth via C Section and I had a newborn to take care of and major Surgery to recover from. I also have to once again start saving money to hire someone else to actually do the job. I wrote this review so this could not happen to anyone else. I hope it Never Does!
