In 2016, Project Manager Frank Haynes and his crew replaced the flat roof and leaking skylight on my childhood home. Extensive work was needed and Frank's team did an outstanding and thorough job. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. My most recent interaction with Pickard began in early July 2018. I needed my shingle roof replaced and signed the proposal to start the project. However, because of all the rain and storms in Durham this year, there were multiple delays. In fairness, Pickard worked all of their customers' requests, weather permitting, in the order they were received. Shawn Murphy, Pickard's awesome Shingle Roof Project Manager, communicated with me throughout the many months, assuring me that my roof replacement would be done and where I was on the list. He sent an email to me on 11-19-2018 to say work could begin on my home. (This was Thanksgiving week. Shawn stated the crew could work on the holiday if I wanted. While commendable to even offer, my answer was "NO!". I could not let Shawn and his team sacrifice Thanksgiving Day when they should enjoy time with family and friends.) The crew came out on Wednesday 11-21 and Friday 11-23. They worked quickly, efficiently and with great professionalism. The crew also protected my outside shrubbery from any damage by covering each one with a blue tarp. They hauled away every single piece of debris, even sweeping fallen leaves from my front and back stoop! In the end, my old roof was replaced with beautiful Landmark Architectural Limited Lifetime Warranty Shingles. It was worth the long wait and I could not be more pleased. Based on my family's past and present experiences, Pickard is the only company I trust to meet all of my roofing needs.
