In the rare time I could get anyone to come out and give me an estimate of my roof, the rates were high, but of course I don't know enough about roofing to have known better. When I finally was ready to move forward to get my roof replaced, I began looking into actually hiring someone. Master Build was just about the only company I could get to reply. Not only did they reply, they communicated with professionalism and courtesy. The estimate came within a day (MUCH lower than estimates I was able to get before), and even though I was overseas, they worked with me on methods of payment. They set up an appointment to repair my roof within the next week, and had the job done in two days. The entire process was amazingly quick, the entire treatment from them was completely professional. The communication was exceptional, as I remained informed of what was going on every step of the way. At no point was I left wondering what the next step was supposed to be. After the job was done, they sent pictures showing every detail of their work. The people in the house at the time had nothing but high praise for how they worked and how they treated those within. This is what a company should be. It's hard to find truly professional construction contractors, these days. I plan to use them for several more home repair projects in the future, and would recommend them to anyone.

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. After Hurricane Florence, I had missing shingles and some leaks so I called Master Build Enterprises to have the repairs done. In addition to their receptionist being completely rude and acting as if I was inconveniencing her by calling and needing my roof repaired, they never showed up for the appointment that I scheduled with them (for which I had taken time off of work and therefore lost a few hours wages). I was not pleased that they never showed up for the appointment, but was willing to give them a second chance because I figured they were probably very busy with many people needing roof repairs after the hurricane. So, I called and set up another appointment with the rude receptionist. I also called the day before and the morning of the second appointment to confirm that they were, in fact, going to show up and was assured that they would be there. Once again, I took time off of work for the appointment and, once again, they never showed up. I called the office to ask why they had failed to show up to two appointments, causing me to miss work and lose wages each time. I would like to make it clear that, at no time, did I raise my voice, behave or speak rudely, curse, etc. I simply wanted to know why they had scheduled 2 appointments with me and failed to show up both times because, in my opinion, that is poor business practice. The receptionist was completely rude (clearly, her rudeness has become commonplace and seems to be allowed by the owner) and stated “If you have an issue with how we run our business, you can just talk to Chris Garrett” and then connected me to him on the phone. Mr. Garrett was not only unprofessional and rude, he repeatedly called me a liar and stated that they had no record of me scheduling any appointments with them...except I have the phone records to prove that I called to schedule them, the requests from time off of work with the reason given being “appointment with Master Build Enterprises for roof repair,” and the fact that I had confirmed the second appointment twice before they failed to show up. In addition, he claimed that I was a competitor that was just trying to put him, a veteran, out of business. Sorry to disappoint you, Mr. Garrett, but I am not a competitor. I am just a single mom as well as a disabled veteran that was trying to get her roof repaired. To top it off, last week I received a bill in the mail from Master Build Enterprises attempting to bill me for their time and claiming that I scheduled 2 appointments and never showed up! I have news for Chris Garrett and Master Build Enterprises, I will not pay a single cent to you because 1) YOU never showed up for the appointments, 2) You didn’t do any work on my roof - I had it repaired by polite, kindly staffed company that actually showed up when they said they would, and 3) I never signed any contract with your company (it’s kind of hard to sign a contract when y’all never showed up to assess the damage and give me an estimate/contract to sign) and am, therefore, not liable for any monetary amount to your ridiculous company. If you are considering having any work done by Mr. Garrett or his business, Master Build Enterprises, save yourself the hassle and headache of dealing with a poorly run, rudely staffed company and hire someone else. In response to your reply, Mr. Garrett: Sigh. Where do I begin? Mrs. Hensley, called tracking, criminally. Your reply is invalid due to excessively poor grammar. Also, you might want to consider reading the definition of the things you are accusing me of and threatening to have me charged with because you clearly have no idea what they mean. My review was, in no way, harassment and/or defamation of character. It was an assessment of my experience with your company which, in my opinion, was extremely unprofessional and certainly not a business that I would ever recommend to anyone else.

We just got our roof completed and it is perfect. They did a wonderful job. They were hard workers . Chris was my sales rep and he was always there for questions. Can't say anything bad about this company

Called a few companies to try and help with my insurance claim with no success. Master Build not only did great work but got my insurance to pay the extra money I needed and saved me thousands of dollars for a new roof. Highly recommend this company

These guys did an excellent job on our roof and did a few extra patch works to prevent the squirrels from re entering, although other things were eliminated to fit the cost. I gave them 3 stars because they were really annoying and hounding for the final check which we have no control over receiving, sending constant text messages and emails. This is more than a week prior to the deadline and before we even got the check. I’m bringing it to them today to expedite the process and get them off our backs. I know there are some pretty dishonest people which could cause some preconceived notions about such dealings but it’s not good business practice to hound clients who you have no prior negative experience with. We paid you our deductible upfront with no problem. Please do not give a lame rebuttal to save face because we did nothing wrong. I’ve read a lot of those responses from you and they’re very unprofessional and transparent. It makes your company look guilty and slummy. Great job otherwise, we would definitely use you again.
