Mr Graessle and his team did an excellent job of restoring my kitchen while providing top notch customer service. Mr Brooks was very helpful through the process of getting my roof replaced and with the insurance company adjuster. I recommend ATD Restoration to anyone in need of roof replacement and interior restoration.

Brian came out with his team and did an Phenomenal job on our home repairs. I recommend this company to any and everyone. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Our house is looking to be finished just in time for Christmas!

During early conversations with Mike Shaw, the owner of ATD Restoration, it seemed I had made a good choice. When it came time for his crew to replace the shingles, things fell apart. I could not be at home when the crew replaced the shingles. However, up to that point, I trusted the owner of the company and he always raved about how great his crews were. My neighbor, who had a good experience with ATD Restoration, is retired and was at home when his roof was done. The crew showed up early and I walked around the house with the person I was told to speak to. He did not speak much English and I speak almost no Spanish so my questions were not answered adequately. As I was leaving for work they had taken the shingles off a large section of the house but had not removed the 18 year old felt paper. Twenty minutes later, after getting to the office, I called Mr. Shaw and wanted to get my questions answered which included why the old felt paper was not removed. He reassured me that “100 percent of the time”, his exact words, they remove the old felt paper, and I had nothing to be concerned about. I was depending on Mr. Shaw to communicate to his crew what he and I had discussed. Something did not feel right so before getting off the phone, I told him, I may go home during my lunch break. I did go home and as I was approaching, the crew started to remove the shingles and old felt paper over the car garage. It is important to remove the old felt paper so the wood can be inspected for rot or damage. I noticed a ladder going up to the roof over my screened porch. I go up and lift the new synthetic felt and they had not removed the old felt. It seems the crew saved the car garage for last in case I came home to give me the impression they had removed the old felt paper everywhere. I asked to speak to Israel, a very skilled crew member, according to Mr. Shaw. Israel said that was the only part of my house that was done that way. He stated they were going to redo that section over the screened porch. Not believing him, I went on the peak of the roof through a second story window and lifted their synthetic felt and they had not removed the old felt paper. They had already started to lay the new shingles. Seeing that I was angry, the person operating the nail gun said they would fix it by removing it to the bare wood and take pictures to show me that it had been done correctly everywhere. I never got those pictures and have politely asked Mr. Shaw multiple times to supply me with the pictures. I got pictures Mr. Shaw took himself, the next day, but not from his crew after I returned to work. They started to remove the new synthetic felt and my old felt underneath before I left to go back to work. The next morning, I had three different brands of synthetic felt on my roof and a mixture of old felt paper and the new laying on the ground, but no pictures. Mr. Shaw acted surprised that his crew did not remove the old felt. He said that was the first time that has ever happened. Two days later, I ask Mr. Shaw; did you figure out who in the crew made the decision to not remove the old felt paper? He said he did not know but he was going to get to the bottom of it. Mr. Shaw was demanding payment before the job was completed and before my gutter guards had been replaced. I had two bent gutters, an uneven roofline in a relatively short section and gutter guards that were damaged. Mr. Shaw has made allowances for the damaged gutters and uneven roofline but has not given me any compensation for the worst two week experience of my life and I will never know the full picture of what’s under my new shingles. There is a lot more to share, but space is limited. Be careful if you use this contractor, read the contract (front and back) before signing, and I would advise someone stay at home with any contractor you may use. E. Washington Bahama, N.C.

Andrew Brooks was extremely helpful in navigating the process of replacing my roof from start to finish. ATD Restoration was referred by a realtor who has had many dealings with them. I feel very confident and fortunate to have them on my side.
