One of the units in my rental property in Geneva had a leak in the upstairs hallway. I paid Proctor to come out and fix the leak. They came out and replaced half of the roof (which was only 4 years old) and charged me $2,150, yet the leak was still occurring. I had them come out 2 more times, both times they again claimed they had fixed the leak and charged me more money and yet the leak is still there. On top of this, Proctor is HORRIBLE with communication, they will never give you an exact date when they'll come out, it might be a week away or 3 months away, which means you can't coordinate with tenants. A lot of times they don't even answer the phone and will never call you back. I've heard from other landlords in Geneva that they've had similar experiences. My brother actually waited over a year for Proctor to come out and work on his roof when some shingles blew off. All said and done, I threw away over $2,500 to Proctor and yet my roof still leaked. I enlisted another roofer and within 30 minutes they were able to see where the leak was coming from and saw how Proctor just tried to put up extra plywood to block the leak in the short term rather than actually fixing it. My money might be lost, but hopefully this saves others from losing their money as well to this dishonest company.
