New York Builders assisted me in the building of a rear Kitchen bump out (extension) They took care of everything from the plans and survey to the procurement of the building permits. i was always told that dealing with towns and building departments was a nightmare but it was all handled rather quickly! Once building started the only wait was for the town inspection between the foundation and the framing. Once that was done they cruised with the rest and i can't tell you how much i love the the gray and white cabinets, granite and vinyl planking color scheme. I would def recommend.
New York Builders recently remodeled my basement and did a bathroom, the work came out great! They were very affordable and great to deal with. Definitely recommend them and will be using them for future remodeling!
**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY** They took $14,000 from my mother and did absolutely nothing towards building an extension for my grandmother!!
DO NOT USE! As of March 13th, a formal complaint is filed with the Better Business Bureau and is awaiting a response from NYBES. This is my response to the owners response: March 13, 2019 This is my response the NYBES letter dated March 1st, 2019. I did meet with Frank, their salesman on May 1st and again on May 31st. By the time we met on July 7th, the plans were agreed upon and signed off. Frank advised me on July 7th that the cesspool needed to be moved. I did not want my responsibility of moving the cesspool to postpone NYBES progress, so, as advised by Frank, I privately hired cesspool company and paid them $3200.00 to move the cesspool by August 1st! Early August, I would call at least once per week and speak with Bill, who told me he could not instruct the architect to do the mechanical drawings until the architect and engineer paid on an onsite visit. Bill scheduled the 2 ‘gentlemen’ for a visit on August 18th. Then, it was cancelled. I told him I was upset, and he explained that their architects are very involved with multiple projects and they had a very serious deadline with some state assignment, so my smaller project had to wait. This meeting was finally rescheduled for early September. The 2 men arrived with summer shorts and flip flops, messy t shirts out of their pants; extremely unprofessional. They didn’t even have measuring tape. To this day I am not clear why they needed to come to my home. I told them I was concerned because we’ve been at this for 2 months and there has been no application to the town. One named Steve, who I learned was Frank's brother, said to me that he was able to assist with expediting the permits and we should have them within 4 weeks. The weeks passed and no permits. After multiple calls and emails to NYBES, I received nothing but weak excuses or no responses at all regarding the permits. The NYBES owner's response describes changes in to the floor plans. There was NO MAJOR CHANGES TO THE FLOOR PLAN. “Engineer” Steve suggested to rearrange some appliances in the kitchen. None of those changes should have prevented NYBES from mechanical drawings and applying for permits. That whole response is a smoking mirror. This contracted construction was to build my elderly mother an extension and give her a place of her own. NYBES should be ashamed of themselves. By October 1st, I was so tired of interrupting my work day to call their office that I asked my elderly mother to help me during the day. Bill gave my mother the same excuses. He even gave her Frank’s cell phone and she left Frank plenty of messages, but he never returned her calls. SUMMARY: Mechanical plans should have begun after the July 7th meeting. Permits should have been reasonably obtained by October 7th, 2019. My mother hoped to have a place of her own by Christmas 2018. She still does not have a place, and we are minus monies needed to build it for her. NYBES need to return my deposit for work never done.
New York Builders reached out to me on August 1st, 2018 because they were doing work around the corner from my house. From the very beginning they were professional. When the rep came to my house he explained exactly how long the bathroom remodel would take and how much it would cost. They even sent one of their project managers with me to shop for my tile and bathroom items! They told me it could be done in 5-7 days and i have to say I had my doubts but it was done in 6 days! Kudos to the office in addressing all of my concerns in a timely Manner and the finished product exceeded both of our expectations. My wife is very happy and you know what they say: A Happy wife is a happy life!!
