Matt and his staff are truly the best in the business. After 2 roof replacements, his crew came out and did the job correctly. The last storm of 80+ mph winds proved this....no damage! Mona is the best office manager you could find. Truely recommend this company in all your roofing needs. Thanks for a great job!

Last year I bought an old house in Tiffin which needed a lot of work. One of the things I needed was a roof. After calling many of the smaller residential roofers who were all booked up I decided I would have to try some commercial roofers and see if they would take on my tiny residential roof. I ran into Chris Goddard, a Sales Director for MJ Brown at the Builder's Association show. I was surprised to discover that despite the fact that they are a commercial roofer that specializes in big jobs, they were happy to put a roof on my tiny home. He proceeded to show me the Owens Corning roofing materials they used. I had recently taken some roofing materials and methods classes at a community college and recognized that he was using excellent materials and giving me the right answers to my questions on roof venting, etc. A few weeks later Chris came out to give me an estimate. His estimate was just barely within my budget but the work was guaranteed for many years, so I decided it was worth it. The roof work began in May 2015 when Chris promised it would and the roofers did an excellent job and used the materials that I contracted for. The roof looks excellent. I still get compliments from my neighbors about how good it looks. It comes with a 50 year warranty from the manufacturer -- now we all know asphalt shingles don't last that long -- so I assume if I am still here in 20 years I will have to figure out how to get my replacement shingles installed but still that is a bold guarantee. I got the eve and ridge cap venting built into the roof so there should be no pre-mature break down of the materials. I was impressed by the fact that Chris called back when he said he would, the installation was done approximately when scheduled (varied only due to weather circumstances) and the work was done expediently, with excellent skill, and the cleanup was thorough. After the roof was installed I did have one leak at the chimney during a torrential rainstorm last summer. One of those storms where the buckets of rain were coming in sideways. I called Chris and he had a team on my roof within an hour of the rain stopping. They found a piece of inner counter flashing had not been installed or sealed quite right and they fixed it on the spot. So far, I have had no more problems with the roof. The attic stays cooler than it used to in the summer with the built-in venting. I am confident that I got an excellent quality roof from a company that has been around quite some time and will probably be here to support the warranties that came with the roof. You can get a cheaper roof from smaller contractors but they will probably not be using the same quality materials, nor will they be around to guarantee their work. I highly recommend that you consider MJ Brown for your residential roof. If you work with Chris Goddard you will be working with an honest and considerate person who is selling a good product and knows his business.
