subcontractor that insured roofing hired to do our roof contacted us because insured roofing did not pay them. prior to the subcontractor contacting us, we received a lien waiver and receipt through insured roofing's lawyers when we made the final payment. we were then threatened that lien waivers would be rescinded if we didn't pay by an employee at insured roofing.
