Arrived around 0800. Work was done before 4 PM. Group was professional and the price was competitive.

I contacted Black Diamond Roofing and Construction after finding their information on the web and reading some of their reviews. A guy named Josh answered my call. He was polite and professional. We were having quite a bad storm and I was having 'Ice-Damming" because of it which was leaking badly into my garage causing holes in the ceiling where water was pooling. Josh informed me he could come out in a week to assess the damages and help resolve my issue. I'm a first time home buyer so I felt Josh was sincere and attentive to my concerns. On the day of the consult, I was away on travel and had a family friend meet Josh. I was very disappointed that Josh spent less than 15 mins assessing the issue, and concluded that it was my plumbing/pipes causing the leak. I'm not an expert but I was about 90% certain it was not the plumbing as it's a new home. I called Josh shortly after he left to find out the issue and he told me "There is no way it can be the roof causing the leak, you need a plumber". Again, not being an expert I consulted a plumber who showed me that there are no pipes running over that section of my home and it was sadly, likely the roof from the ice-damming. Frustrated, I contacted another Roofing company who came out a few days later with 2 experts this time and concluded it was in fact 100% ice-damming. They removed the new ice and snow, applied heat tape to what they determined to be the problem areas and repaired the damage in my garage. This was the level of service I was expecting from BDR&C and just did not receive. I was disappointed that more consideration wasn't exercised to triage and resolve my issue and despite appearances Josh neglected to deliver true customer service to a first time home buyer. First impressions are everything, and I won't be consulting with them going forward.
