I highly recommended that you do not use Earnest. The entire experience that had with him was not good. I contracted him to replace a metal roof on a warehouse we have in Corpus. Originally was told it would take 7-10 days once the materials arrived. I paid him the 50% down and that’s when the delays began. I eventually had to fly to Texas, rent a car, and drive down to Corpus to see what was going on because the tenants of the warehouse were not happy with the progress. The work was supposed to be completed during business hours and they were suppose to work with the tenant so that it did not disrupt their business. Earnest would tell me the workers that he hired (he does not have his own crew) would be there on a certain day and time. I would then notify the tenants of their arrival and then they would not show. This went on numerous times. When the workers did show up they were constantly asking my tenant to borrow miscellaneous tools they needed to complete their job. And most of the time the work was done not during business hours and weekends so the tenant had to be there to watch over the place. During my visit Earnest hired an electrician to fix some electrical items that were caused from the roof removal. The electrician showed up with no ladder and the tenant loaned him his ladder and we witnessed the electrician fall off the ladder on his way down. He was obviously drunk, or was on drugs or medication. He was asked to leave. Eventually most of the work was completed and a temporary inspection was done by Voss Engineering (which I also recommend you don’t use) for the wind certification. A final inspection was to be done after everything was completed and I was supposed to be supplied a certificate. I paid Earnest the remaining 50% balance which was a mistake. I should have held back some of the money until I received the certificate. It’s been 6 months now and have yet to receive the certificate. I don’t know if Voss Engineering ever came back to the the final inspection or not. I made 20-30 calls to their receptionist for the engineer to give me an update and have never received a call back. And finally Earnest is no help either. Stay away from All Star and stay away from Voss Engineering.

I called and spoke to Ernest to have someone come out and give us a quote for windows. He told me he would try to have someone come that day, if not, someone would call me the next day. Well after 3 days of not hearing from anyone I called Ernest again to follow up about someone coming out. He said, "nobody has called you?" I told him no and that's why I'm calling to follow up. He then asked if he could call me back when he got back to the office and I said that was fine. Well that was over a week ago and still no phone call. Not a very good way to run your business. I will be sure not to recommended this place to anyone.
