Everyone knows that Beaumont has received lots of rain from Harvey. I was snug in my house until Monday morning when I woke to standing water in front of my fireplaces. It seemed water was coming down the inside of the chimneys and spreading onto the floors and carpeting. I called Donald Shackleford for advice as to what to do. He calmly told me that he would get some tarps and cover my chimneys. In spite of the heavy rain, he climbed on my steep roof and covered me up. We will wait til the storm is past to determine how to fix the chimneys BUT Donald will always be my hero and I will always call him for roofing needs. By the way, when I offered to pay him, he told me we would settle up later. No need to pay now. It is so refreshing to deal with a caring, compassionate person that comes to your rescue!
