I cannot say enough great things about Silverado Roofing--they have been outstanding in every one. They worked extremely well with my insurer and went the extra mile to make sure all their work was top-flight. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Rob O
After a hail storm that took out a lot of roofs two years ago in McKinney, I had Silverado replace my roof. A good experience from start to finish. Early this morning, while DFW airport was reporting 78 mph winds, we apparently had some water come through the roof; which my wife noticed as a stain on the bathroom ceiling. This was our first problem in the two years since the roof was replaced. Within SEVEN HOURS of my reporting this to Silverado they came to investigate, gathered the materials, made the repairs, and did some touch up painting so it all blended together. To say I appreciate this incredible response would be a gross understatement.
I CALLED SILVERADO ROOFING GROUP TODAY AT 1;15 PM , THERE TEAMS WAS HERE WIHIN ONE HOUR THEY CHECKED THE ROOF AND FOUND OUT FROM WHERE THE LEAK WAS COMING . BY 6 PM THE PROBLEM WAS FIXIED ,NO WORDS WILL DESCRIBE HOW PROFESSIONAL THEY WERE , THEY DONE BEYOND WHAT THEY SUPPOSES TO DO . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM THEY DESERVE 100 STARS NOT 5 STARS .THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WITH THEIR SERVICES , GREAT TEAM AND HONEST PPL , THEY EVEN CLEANED UP AFTER THEY FINISHED , AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS WITH QUALITY WORK , I AM SO APPRECIATIVE FOR ALL WHAT YOU DID GUYS , WELL DONE .
EDIT: 2 years later some shingles fell off the roof. Turns out they were high-nailed (nailed so high on the shingle the shingle rips off and falls off the roof when windy). I called, and they came and fixed it under warranty. We hired SRG to replace our roof the day after the devastating Wylie Hailstorm destroyed homes all over town. They patched the roof and came out a few times to try to fix leaks whilst it continued to rain. We had horrible trouble with the project manager, a good-old boy who'd tell my wife stories discussing his racism, homophobia, and other unprofessional content. He wouldn't give timelines for when the project would take place, instead constantly saying it would be "just a few more days." They would not even order materials until they had the insurance check, meaning the house leaked for 3 weeks. When they replaced the roof it was in less than two days on a weekend we were out of town. They failed to replace over half the damaged decking with fist-sized holes CLEAN THROUGH the wood. The decking they did replace did not have radiant barrier applied as had our previous decking. Throughout this process the accountants and owner of the companynwere experiencing growing pains having taken on too many new clients in the wake of the storm. My wife and I had to learn quickly how to navigate contractors and insurance and had to educate the company at times. Once, had we not caught the error ourselves,we would have paid them an extra $3,000 they wanted as the deductible when it had already been applied. After the error in the roofing was discovered hey took two weeks to try to fix the roof cheaply. Their ideas included adding a second layer of decking underneath damaged decking as well as gluing after-market radiant barrier to the inferior-quality wood they had installed. They considered filling holes with caulk and leaving that there. Negotiations were tense and my wife (an attorney) prepared looking in to alternatives to enforce the contract which, in hindsight, offers no protection to the homeowner. The second star is rated because the owner, Wendy, in the end sent another crew which took 4 days to completely replace the roof, including the decking which they had initially supplied. They made it right. Had they jumped at the opportunity to fix it after the first repair when we showed Wendy the home they'd have 4 stars and repeat clients. I understand that catastrophes like the Wylie hail storm require flexibility and patience. It should never come at the expense of professionalism.
Mark Guinn is great! Honest, up front, and kind. Highly recommend the crew at Silverado Roofing!
