This company will not leave me alone. Even after I've asked them not to contact me they continue to contact me. Their sales tactics were horrible. Even after I repeatedly told them that I was not interested they would not leave my house. After I I was able to get them to leave they have continued to harass me by phone. They will not take no for an answer. Today they called me and told me that they were home advisors so that they could get me on the phone. This is getting to the point of harassment. If you decide to get an estimate from Paramount builders be prepared to be harassed if you tell them no.
We had our front door, our picture window, siding/gutters, and several front and side windows worked on last year. From the outset, we had issues with the crew assigned to our project. They messed up the project on the first day, removing all of the dental blocks on the front of our house and then having to repair and put them back up (we were told that they didn’t charge us to put them back up, which was their way of “making it right” even though we never asked them to remove them- who would ask someone to remove a key feature of your home that has no issues and no relationship to the project at all?). They fixed it, so we went ahead with the project. As it was completed, everything seemed fine when they did the walk through with us. We gave them two thumbs up. Then a big rain came through a couple weeks later. Water came pouring in our new front door and our new picture window. We called Paramount and it took about a week for them to send someone back out. They caulked the front door and said the picture window “looked fine.” About a week later, while having other work done on our house, the contractor (unrelated to Paramount) noticed that our back lights weren’t working. He got up into the work Paramount had done and found live wires that had been stuffed back into the side of the house and sealed over. He explained that this was a gigantic fire hazard and Paramount needed to come fix it. He documented it for us. We called them again, they took forever to come back out. Another rain came through a few weeks later and again, our picture window had water pouring in from the top. Again we called and pointed out to Paramount where the gutters had not been installed flush with the side of our house. They took forever to come back out and tried to dismiss the water issue, saying they couldn’t see why it was coming in and that it’s probably just because it was a pretty strong rain we had. We never had water pour through our window in the 10 years before, and water should not be pouring in now. We are still waiting, 1 month later, for some communication about what’s being done for the picture window. We loved how the work looked and the sales staff were very helpful and polite and professional. But the actual work from the contract crew has ended up being pretty sloppy, at best. Our front door requires brute strength to open and close everyday and the wood frame has begun to break apart because it’s impossible to open or close it without using your full body weight. I think we ended up with an inexperienced crew- they sub contract their work out to local teams and we must have just ended up with a lemon of a team. Hopefully they will make the work “right,” but it has definitely required almost monthly contact with them and we are not difficult or picky people- each time, they are very dismissive as though we have frivolous complaints, but live electrical wires and water coming in a wall/window are no small issues. In hindsight, we would have explored a different company that is smaller where the folks selling the product are the same ones installing it so you actually know what you’re getting into with the work.
First, I believe they OVERCHARGED me at $10K. Then I find out when they were installing the windows a big SHOCK. It was a dad and his 2 sons. Come to find out the dad was a convict who just got out of jail and was on a 3 year probation. He ended up falling off the ladder, he was hungover The sons were NO better. These are the kinds of people PARAMOUNT hires to install their windows. They complained the whole time how fraudulent and cheap the company was. It was a HORRIFIC experience! And, their sales people are snakes.
My experience with Anthony Bradshaw was very enjoyable. He was very personable and just a joy to be around. Unfortunately I was not able to take advantage of his offer at the time, but I will say that if you are looking for exterior home improvements, Anthony Bradshaw and Paramount Builders are the way to go!
Anthony Bradshaw came to my elderly parents home and behaved exceptionally. I try to help them out from time to time and try and make sure no one takes advantage of them. Anthony was patient and kind. He educated my parents and myself. I would be happy to recommend him and his company.
