Got an estimate over a week ago and still can't seem to get our roof fixed. calling does nothing, I even showed up at the store and no one is ever there. Not an efficient process and they seemed annoyed when we call.
Had a near identical experience to Vivian. It took them over 3 months to finally get started on the job, never sent over a quote, etc. They finally came when I got irritated. This was over a year ago and I would've let it go if it weren't for the fact that where the work they did is now leaking and I can't reach anyone at their office.
("wow") I guess that pretty much sums up my expierence with Martin and Sons Roofing. I have a flat roof and had some leaking by the drain and weather head fittings. When you have a flat roof any leakage is a disaster. I called todd because they did another job for me this past fall. He came out and went right to work. Rubber roofing is a total mystery to me but not to him. Todd opened the roof up and saw the issue right away. He and his guys went right to work. The end result looked every bit as good as the original roof and as I watched them perform the repairs I was well impresed. They left the job site clean as a whistle. Todd stayed within his quote and the work was done in a very timely manner. If you have a problem with your roof give these guys a call. thank you Todd and Alex and your dad. We had a small leak in our kitchen ceiling. We called Martin & Sons to come and and take a look for a repair. He came out when he said he would, gave us a verbal quote and said that he would mail a written quote to us. That was on a Thursday. On Saturday, an even worse residual leak began in another area (from an earlier rain 2 days before). I became somewhat frantic and called them back (on Saturday) to see if he could come at take another look. I called at 9am and left a message and was told someone would call me back that day. I called again at 1pm (roof is still leaking) and left another message. She said she would make sure he understood the urgency and that it was the second time I called. I did not receive a call, and no call on Sunday. I tried to call again on Monday, still no call back. And we have yet to receive the written estimate he said he would send. We had every intention of using them to do the repair work, but due to the lack of any contact from them our plan changed. Even if they had called to say 'I'm sorry, we just don't have the manpower to get to it', they would have still had a chance.
Four phone calls later and work is still not started on my roof! I called in the end of July for an estimate and told them to move along with the work. The owner (as I later found out) told me "great, we'll get you on the schedule for next week". A week goes by nothing. I called the office and they have no idea who I am, never mailed the estimate. So they email me the contract and "if I get it to them that day, the work will start that week". I send them the contract, no response via email nor return my phone call. Perhaps, they will do their job and show up this week, no go. I called again today and was told a "urgent call would would be placed to someone and they would call me back immediately" that was a 2:00. I cancelled my contract with them and will call someone who wants to work, is reliable and can follow through. If they can't even return a phone call I can't imagine how their service is.
