If you want a company that never lets you know when they’re going to show up on your property (or once they arrive at least have the common curtesy of ringing your doorbell to let you know), come through a closed gate unannounced and without permission (that is put up for protecting your children and dogs), constantly lies about letting you know when you should expect their workers over, hires people who use your property as a toilet, works at all hours including dinner and bedtime (while banging on your roof so hard that you get a headache), leaves without finishing the job, or picking up huge pieces of material off your property (including sharp metal), and that you have to call weeks later to see if they’ll ever show up to finish the job, then yes, by all means, hire them. If you’d like a more professional experience and a lot less headaches and worry, then I suggest you find yourself a different roofing company.
I had a great experience with Capitol Roofing. They were honest, fair and replaced my roof within a reasonable time frame.
Do not trust this company. In August 2018 we were trying to sell our house. 2 weeks before closing, the buyers had Capitol Roofing perform the roof inspection. Capitol claimed there was extensive damage and the shingles on the roof had been discontinued. They said a whole roof replacement would need to be done and quoted $14,000. We got a State Farm adjuster out within a week to get the replacement covered but he said there was only very minor wind damage and the roof was insurable. We had Quality Roofing come out 3 days before closing and he agreed there was minor damage and he said the shingles were readily available to patch it. The buyers had Swedes Roofing come out to confirm and they agreed with Quality Roofing. Within 6 hours of having Quality inspect the roof, they had it prepared and issued a certification for it. The final cost for us was $500 from them. Do not take Capitol Roofing at their word.
I have waited almost a year for my roof to be replaced. Every time I called for a time estimate, I was told I was still on the list, but to let them know if I had any leaks. My ceiling started leaking around the chimney pipe and I called them over a month ago. After several calls and emails and promises of “they will be out to patch it tomorrow”, they still have not even touched it! My wood stove is now covered in rust. Who knows what damage is in the attic. This morning I told them to forget it, I’ll hire someone else. This is completely unacceptable.
I had a leak in my roof and called my contractors to help. Many companies were unable to help because it was a small project. Capitol Roofing was able to help and quite quickly.
