This review is long overdue. I had my roof installed last year. After doing a lot of research and meeting with several contractors, Steve was the most prepared and organized. He was thorough and knew his product since he's been a roofing contractor for 26 years. His pricing was also very competitive! The roof was completed as scheduled. The work was done efficiently and cleanly. I would definitely highly recommend him!

Roof Right is a local company, whose owner, Steve Peters, lives in Moraga and has many clients here. The work they’ve done for us, both small and grand scale, has been of the highest quality. I found the company through its glowing Yelp reviews when our roof, overdue for replacement, sprung a leak this past winter. Steve was sensitive to our situation and had the problem thoroughly investigated and swiftly repaired, allowing us to arrange a full replacement at our leisure, to be done during better weather. Steve’s proposal process was very in-depth. He brought samples of the various shingles he offers—exclusively GAF. He informed us of California’s new requirements for reflective shingles. He discussed the inadequate venting of our attic space and how it could be improved. He mentioned all the layers that would go into the new roof, including Tiger Paw Roof Deck Protection, Weather Watch mineral-surfaced Leak Barrier, 3’ Pro-Start Eave/Rake Starter Strips, 10” Ridge Cap Shingles. He gave us a veritable tome of a list of roofs he’s done throughout the county. He took us around Moraga to see roofs he’s done locally. Far from being hard-sell, when we said we would pass on getting new gutters and downspouts, he neglected to press the issue. It was actually our gutter guys who explained why both should be done simultaneously. Steve later confirmed that this was the advisable route, but he’d not wanted to be pushy. Steve was very professional. He pulled the appropriate Contra Costa County building permit and had it stapled, as required, to the front of the house prior to commencing any work. It remained there throughout the process so the inspector could come at will to inspect the work as it progressed and upon completion. The crew generally arrived around 8:30 am and left between 5:30 and 6pm. The process was smooth and, astoundingly, completely odorless! There was some debris on the ground at the end of the job, as one might expect, a couple nails the blower failed to clear, a water bottle, but otherwise, at ground level, the place looked as though they’d never been here. They took good care of our property. Every time I needed to speak with someone, whether Armando, the foreman, or Jaime, one of the GAF-certified installers on site, they were polite and helpful. Steve, himself, picked up his cell phone whenever I had a question. The job was costly, but just what one would reasonably expect to pay for a painless process, a life-time manufacturer’s warranty, a 15-year workmanship warranty, and an absolutely gorgeous roof.
