Great experience with Stuart from start to finish. Great communication and highly responsive throughout - gave a clear assessment of the damage and proposed a solution to fix the problem. His price was very competitive and he carried out the work exactly as promised, including a few extra requests for which he charged only a nominal amount. Would certainly use again and recommend to others.

I used Start Smith roofing recently for both replacing a leaking zinc flat roof over my bay windows and also some old guttering and external pipe work. All the team that he co-ordinated were delightful and very hard working. They did a lovely job and Stuart Smith was marvellously quick to respond to messages and provided clear detail of the work to be carried out and the time scale of the project. We rang Stuart in desperation after the appalling lack of service and expertise from our emergency cover insurers in reponse to a leak in our daughter's bedroom during last weeks torrential rain. Stuart came to the house immediately after a call from us and within minutes spotted a blocked outlet in a double glazing unit which he believes was the cause.He fixed it, didn't charge because he said it was minor, and was professional, knowlegeable and very personable. Our insurance roofers intimated that the bill for discovering where water came from could run into thousands involve cameras to probe under the eaves etc etc.. If we ever have a problem in the future will will ring Stuart and I can't recommend him highly enough
