Never ending nightmare, similar to what many others seem to be dealing with. I hired Roofcraft to fix a leaking roof from hail in Fall 2016, insurance claim ballooned to include replacing the entire roof, ceiling, insulation, gutters, repainting interior, installing lights, etc. Roofcraft insists that they manage the entire project and says they will finish the entire job in three months. Insurance gives final approval June 2017 but work on the roof doesn't begin until September 2017 after much prompting (it has been leaking for almost a year now). The roofing crew works fast and the bulk of the roofing is finished within a few weeks but there is still plenty of work to do with the skylights, paint, lighting/electrical, gutters, and chimney. There are also some mistakes on the roof work that need to be addressed. Despite this, Roofcraft misinforms the inspector that the work is 100% complete to get the rest of the money. Now comes the perpetual delays and excuses. Skylights that were supposedly ordered in November 2017 weren't actually ordered until June 2018. Because of the delay to replace the skylights, the old skylights leaked and damaged the new ceiling. It's now almost November 2018 and the work is still unfinished and the home hasn't been livable since they started work over a year ago. They ignore phone calls and emails and refuse to give a schedule or completion date.
I wouldn't even give them one star. Had a lien put on my house. The work was never finished. They tried to make me lie to the insurance company saying that work was done so that they could get the rest of the money they say to finish the job. All after representing himself as a Christian company. Had plenty of phone calls that weren't returned emails that weren't returned. Was given a final email which was very inappropriate and unprofessional
Same experience as others had a lean on my house and another sub threatened to place a lean. Was promised extra shingles never arrived also touch up paint where the roofers scratched my new gutters. Called text with no answer. I never write reviews but I don't want others to go through what we went through! Not a good company!
Been trying to get promised work done for 11 months can't even get a return from roofcraft after 22k job I expected them to do as promised. Would nevet recomend or do business with Roofcraft again.
Working with Roofcraft has been nothing short of a nightmare. We had hail damage last summer and hired Roofcraft in October of 2016 to work within the scope of our insurance claim. The job included roof, window, gutter, paint, and shutter repair. The walk through went well and we were sold and ready to get the repairs over with. The roof repair was delayed a few weeks when the wrong shingles arrived (and became an eyesore for the duration of the delay as they sat piled utop our roof), but the job that was supposed to be done in December was successfully completed in January. This alone would have been forgivable. They asked us for our second payment, which was payment for the claim in full, at this time. My husband attempted to write "paid in full" on the check but they said that was unacceptable as the other jobs may require additional funds from our insurance company. Mistakenly, we wrote the check. Gutters were completed a few months later after some prompting. The only complaint there was the mess they left in our front yard for nearly a week. Paint was delayed until warmer weather and the window replacement was evaluated on two separate occasions. About this time we received notice from a 3rd party that a lien would be placed on our home if we did not pay the roof repair off. We proved payment and took care of that quickly. We have made numerous calls since but Roofcraft seems to have no intention of finishing this job (windows, paint, and shutters have yet to be repaired). They are difficult to get a hold of and do not follow up on our conversations. Our next step will be small claims, but I don't wish this experience on anyone, so for now a descriptive review will have to suffice. Avoid working with this company if you can.
