Josh from Roofmasters came out and looked at roof drainage issue. Just a little flashing missing from a previous repair done incorrectly, an easy fix. He was was a nice guy and professional. He said that he would call the following week when he got freed up and had the piece fabricated. (On a side note no contractor calls when they say that). That was the last that I heard from Josh for a month until I called him. When I called he was apologetic, and believe said he was out of town and would get back to me when he got back. No call.....I talked to him at least two more times and left one more message. He kept saying he would get back to me to get it done but it never happened. If contractors are too busy to do it than be honest, just tell me you don’t have time right now but don’t keep leading me on saying it’s going to get done. This attitude seems to be rampant here in Hays. Everyone says “I will call you”....no, no you won’t! I am so tired of it! Provide an appointment and time when you are going to do it like adults do and get it done!
Incredible experience in an awful situation. Roofmasters was able to fix my roof while I was on the road for work. I live in Salina and they sent a repairman to my home and had the work done within an hour of a major rainstorm that would have caused significant damage beyond our current problem. I am grateful for their hard work and willingness to go out of their way to ensure my needs were met. Reliability, honesty and integrity are the staples of this business. I will not use any other company in the future. Thanks, Roofmasters!
I'm an employee of Roofmasters and I have found that it's a wonderful place to work. We take great pride in the work we do and always strive to put the customer first.
Roofmasters did my home and also 2 of my rentals houses. They were very pleasant to work with. The estimator went out of his way to deal with my insurance. I truly appreciated the work they did and the special attention to my properties when I was having difficulties with my insurance. The estimator, Alex, told me exactly what was going on and did not beat around the bush when it came to the truth. I appreciated his honesty. I won't ever mess around with getting estimates again.
Follow up to owners response (below). Your "communications breakdown" resulted in my job not getting done. No fault of mine. A phone call back would have been nice. Or at the very least, an apology. First, I had to make several calls to them just to get the estimate, weeks after they had come by to look at my gutters and soffit. I had to make several phone calls to find out when they would be coming. Then I got a call from them saying they would be out the following day. No call, no show. When I called them to tell them no one had shown up, they acted surprised. Really? Said they'd call back. Never called back. A week later, I was woken up by the sound of workers... no advanced notice. I work nite shift and explained this from the beginning and asked if they could please give me a heads up before coming. Gutters got done, and then I received a bill for both the gutters and soffit. I called and explained that the soffet hadn't been done. Again, they said they thought it had been and acted surprised that it hadn't gotten done. Geez. I was told they would find out why soffet hadn't been done and call me back. Never called back. Then I got a rather rude email from them saying that they thought I had decided not to have soffet done, which was completely false. In all my communication with them I was treated extremely poorly, like I was the bad guy here. Four months after they came to give me an estimate, the job was never completed and they wasted my time for months promising to do a job I had a signed contract for and never completing the job. Horrible experience with this company. If they only want the big buck jobs, they should say so and not drag the little customer, like me, through the dirt, like they did. Shame on you, Roofmasters.
