Every once in awhile, I receive service so surprisingly great, I need to shout it from the rooftops. Yes, pun intended. Allow me to explain. Earlier this month, I had flooring replaced in our cottage in Ludington. Of course, nothing is ever simple when dealing with a very old house, and I really wasn't too surprised when the flooring people discovered a damp and moldy part of the flooring beneath a couple of layers. Turns out, there was an apparent age old leak in the roof that had trickled down through to the floor boards. Ugh. Now what? After googling and calling my way through various and sundry roofers in Ludington from another state afar, I made a call to Freeland Roofing Systems, Inc. First, I described my probs with Diane who then handed the phone over to David Argue. He said he would stop by my house for a look with two of his lead roofers right then, on their lunch hour. Really! Within the hour, David called me back with all of the details of how the addition of 13 years ago was not done correctly, which explained the bad, old leak. David said he would get back to me with pics and more information. Less than one week later, I followed up with Diane to determine what would need to be done and when. Fearing the worst, she simply replied, "Oh, it is done." I thought I misheard her. "It is done?" I said. "Yes, it is done. We consider leaking roofs urgent, so David and the guys repaired it. Your invoice in in the mail." Wow. That just never happens! I was so relieved to know the problem had been taken care of so quickly and so professionally.
