TLDR: Dirk of A1 Roofing detailed 2 different frauds he was planning on committing against me. Dirk is one of the dumbest criminals I've encountered and I was a police detective for 6 years. If you hire these guys have a lawyer ready! Dirk of A1 "inspected" a 12' diameter roof that I needed replaced and gave me a quote specifying that they would strip off the old and replace with new. He shows up to work (with 1 helper who had a broken rib). Dirk then admits to me that they were going to fraudulently just place the new roof on top of the old one and not tell me (Fraud 1). Then he decides he can't do the job at all because the "roof" is actually a solid concrete slab and he (a professional roofer) didn't notice that during his "inspection". Dirk tells me that he "seriously thought about" building the new roof on the concrete slab and just having it sit on top without actually attaching it to anything (Fraud 2). Then he decided that he didn't want the liability it would have caused during the next wind storm when it would flip off and destroy\kill something or someone. I declined his offer of $800 for half an hour of removing the old roofing materials and then he wanted an additional $1000 to paint it in order to seal the concrete. He wanted $1800 for 30 min of work and to paint a 12' circle. I passed on all of his services and encourage everyone else to do the same.

Called to get a bid for a new roof. After scheduling a good time for someone to come by for a bid no one called back. Unfortunately had to go with a different company from Kansas City and I had a new roof in a week. Can’t speak to their professional work but not impressed with the customer service. Thought possibly a one off issue but I see similar reviews.

Called to schedule bid on roof. No one ever showed up. After a week I called back and had to leave a message to see what happened. Still, no one returned a phone call back. The next week same thing. After that I called and had to leave another message. Three hours later I received a phone call back to “Make sure I was taken care of” I told him no because I went with another company.

I FIELED A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. AT FIRST JUST TRYING TO GET GUTTERS FIXED..NOW I AM ASKING FOR A REFUND..MY GUTTERS ARE FALLING APART. Poor workmanship....not dependable..no customer service . gave 1 star because that's the lowest it would allow.
