We had several pieces of shingles blow off over the weekend when Springfield had 50 mph winds. I called Roof for Less on Monday morning and the owner, himself, came to my house within an hour and got the job finished. They are very friendly and charged a reasonable price. We live in a 2 story house with a very steep roof and it was no problem. I highly recommend Roof for Less and would use them again.
The work was great and was completed quickly. Within a half day their team pulled off 3 layers of shingles and put new shingles, vents, ice shields etc on. The problem we had was with the pricing we were quoted. We agreed to an amount about $1,000 less than what we had to pay. The owner came out and inspected the roof prior to sending any quotes or pricing. He sent his quote via email and we agreed to have him do the work. He offered us a shingle upgrade. We chose to upgrade our shingles for $300 but once the shingles delivered we noticed they were the wrong shingle and let him know. He said the company that delivered them must have made a mistake so my husband and I decided to go ahead and forget the upgrade so we could have our roof done sooner as we had a leak. The roofers came and after tearing off our shingles they discovered two additional layers of shingles and told us they had to charge us more for the work than what they quoted and contracted us for. Overall we ended up paying $1,000 more than what was agreed upon and we did not end up upgrading our shingles. The owner of the company was out and inspected our roof prior to our quote and contract so we feel this was something he should have caught prior to starting work and should not have been our cost to absorb. However, the owner did offer to put the new shingles on top of the other two layers for the price he quoted but we agreed to get down to the decking prior to the discovery of the two additional layers of shingles. The situation was not ideal and though they did great work quickly I would recommend that you are sure to dot your i’s and cross your t’s when hiring them to do your roof so you can make sure your contracted price is what you pay.
I absolutely recommend away from this business unless you like having your property and house damaged, their roofers came and did my neighbors roof earlier this week and when they dumped a load or few I should say they didnt care about whats below, in my case it would be a segment about 20+ ft in length flattened to the ground with clear disregard about who's property they were destroying, and if it was a accident not a huge deal im reasonable fix what you broke? Right? So I called Roof For Less because I seen a work truck there, Recieved a voicemail system, left a message, boss called me back 10 mins later and said don't worry they will fix it, no apology, so I watched to see if they would bother, well sure they got my fence standing again, by use of a twig they found in the yard to prop the damn thing up, so if this is the kind of contractor you want working on or around your property, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, damages will be swept under the rug to hide a oopsie.
The roof on my house was a complete tear off and they replaced it it with architectural shingles, installed new vents, drip edges, water barrier, felt, and had the whole job done in about 6 hours. My house is about 1,200 square feet and it looks fantastic. They done a pretty good job of cleaning up after too. I'm a satified customer.
