STAY AWAY! In my 18 years of being a home owner, dealing with Stonebrook has by far been the most frustrating and miserable experience. Due to storm damage, we needed the roof replaced on our recently purchased home. It is not a small home by any means, 5,900 sq ft., yet Stonebrook treated it as if it was an outhouse. Prior to the work beginning, the project manager that sold us the job took a different position and we were never informed. Thus, trying to get ahold of the correct person from the start was difficult. On the day the work was to begin, they couldn't find a crew This happened three straight days! The new project manager never apologized and all the owner did when I called him was arrogantly brag about "how big they are" and "that they're located in Denver and Dallas". Yet, they couldn't find a crew locally? Once a crew showed up, they drove all through my yard putting in large ruts that broke multiple sprinkler lines and heads. What followed was more disheartening. Our A/C unit's outside metal covering was destroyed and needed to be replaced. One morning, we heard a loud crash only to go outside and discover that our glass patio furniture had been shattered along with the corresponding metal chairs broken. More shocking, is that prior to me going outside, they quickly took a leaf blower and blew all of the broken glass into our yard! I have 4 children under the age of 9. Since then, two have come in with cuts from stepping on broken glass in the yard. They left oil stains all over my driveway and we are still picking up debris and roofing nails around our home. The flashing that was installed directly above our front door was all bent up and scratched, yet still installed. However, it was installed crooked(not lining up to the current flashing) and has since needed to be repaired by a mason. When I pointed this out at the time, the project manager said he "didn't have a level". One morning I came out to inspect their progress and noticed that I had what appeared to be different colored shingles throughout my roof giving off a polka dotted look. This was on my garage and front corner. I sent pictures to the owner and was told they were defective shingles. The issue was that I, the homeowner, was the one that caught it and pointed it out. The project manager did not. Throughout the entire experience, all he did was sit in or by his truck looking at his phone and smoking cigarettes. Throughout this entire process, I was in talks with the owner and other residential "quality control" individuals. All of them admitted that "due to their size", they have "slacked off" in their residential side of the business and that the quality "isn't where it should be". As a customer and home owner, the way I was spoken down to on multiple occasions was appalling. Once the work was completed, my wife and I were thankful that our nightmare was finally over. Unfortunately, two months after completion, we had our first dusting of snow. Less than an inch. Yet we came home from Christmas vacation to find multiple brown water spots in our kitchen ceiling. Thus, these too needed to be fixed and our entire kitchen ceiling repainted. The cause? They forgot to put caulking around the flashing of our chimney. Less than a month later, we had water coming down our kitchen cabinets. Since our experience, we have heard similar and sometimes worse stories from other homeowners. Many from our neighborhood. Flashing that wasn't installed, doors and gutters damaged, gutter guards on backwards, etc. One had to have his entire home repainted due to damages! Did Stonebrook take care of all of our issues and damages? Yes, but it was a long 6 month ordeal of scheduling and headaches. Plus, we have the worry every time it snows/rains that more leaks will appear. There's 100 other roofing companies out there, save yourself the potential nightmare that we and many others have experienced.
