Cyclist coming through Durango with a broken pannier rack. I was told by a local bike shop that this place could weld the broken piece on at a fraction of the cost of buying a new one. Though the work was of excellent quality and complete in just over an hour, there was very poor communication regarding price. When I showed up to grab my pannier rack I was told the bill would be $90, this for a $35 rack. I ended up paying $45 after a substantial amount of negotiation. Photos of what was needed below. Two welds were made to repair the rack. Great place for people who need high-end work, if you're a cyclist on a budget do not go here.
When everything goes wrong and you need someone to help you out of a jam, Tim is guy you need. We blew a hole in the radiator of our bus. Someone told me to call Aminis. I took my radiator out and met Tim. From the moment I met him I knew he was not going to stop until it was done right What started as a little hole ended up being several rotten spots. Time and time again we thought it was fixed and when he tested it a new one would show up. After most of the day he finally got it repaired long after closing time. All for a very reasonable price. Thanks Tim.
Excellent welder, I have used him on more than one occasion over the years.
Awful experience. It is in your best interest to take your valuble business elsewhere. Shady service and terrible communication. It took over a month to get a radiator swapped out in our pickup. After weeks of "research and work" we finally got our vehicle back at a cost of 2/3rds of what we'd paid for the truck itself. When we received the bill, nothing was itemized, nothing was tracked. The owner wrote everything up on the spot off the top of his head. We have been fighting for weeks to get a true list of the work completed and at this point I am ready to go to the Better Business Bureau. Overcharged, underservaced and undervalued as a customer.
Traveling across country on my motorcycle my gas tank sheared off my frame. I was told by Harley Davidson in Grand Junction that They could fix me at their shop in Durango. After limping the miles their Harley Davidson refused to weld my tank because it was too dangerous. I told them they better find me someone. They called Animas. The owner found out I was stranded from Maryland and agreed to do the job, although it was not his work and it was very dangerous. He welded my tank and within hours I was able to continue my trip. Fair price and his nice family kept me happy with the love of their Grandfather. Great person.
