Can't believe they are still in business. The worst company ever. Would not refer them to anyone ever!

We received many estimates and ideas on having our home improvement project move forward. A couple quotes we received were outrageous; almost double the price of our lowest estimate. After a lot more research and 3-4 weeks later we both were exhausted, not to mention a bit more confused, with all the different opinions about what was the proper way to approach a couple of the areas and sections of our home. The suggestions ranged anywhere from ripping down two walls where our addition meets the original walls and re-framing both walls including new drywall, insulation, sheathing and electrical wiring, to just going over it with the siding and leaving the old asbestos tiles on those walls. Needless to say the leaving the asbestos up and covering it up with just the vinyl siding over it, so our grandchildren can possible become exposed to it was never an option. Just when we were about to put the dream of having a new roof, windows, and siding installed, to protect and beautify our only home, off until next year, a neighbor who felt our pain recommended to give this guy Hank a call, and just see what he would say. I am so glad we did. It was like being in a different world; someone really listened and understood and had experienced this situation before. He just went ahead and spoke with the building inspector, and got the green light from the township and told us that whenever we did decide to go ahead with the project, he had written out to the T the exact steps and materials needed to make the problem, as Hank said go away. That night my wife and I sat in bed and both agreed, that we could work with this guy!!! We just had to get past the long hair (only kidding!!!) we both love him. Anyway we love our home and it now looks and feels so good (and we are able to take advantage of the energy tax credit, due to the materials that were installed on our home meet the criteria of the tax credit, and will also save us money on our energy bills. Thank you guys very much!!!

First off, I want to say I REALLY wanted to give Hank Buhner a good review. In October of 2014, my fiance and I spotted a leak in our roof (vaulted ceiling) trickling from somewhere on the front half towards the front door. We had two different companies come in to do an estimate, and Hank was the one who insisted that a total replacement wasn't necessary. He quoted us a ~$500 repair, but found some unexpected additional work that needed to be done. The final cost came out to a little more than double, but whatever, it beats a total redo for 9-10K. Days later, we were still seeing the leak on another rainy day. Hank was good about coming back in to find another source of the problem. Next rainy day, still leaking, although it was less extreme. I told him we were getting close, but still needed it sealed. He promised he'd come over while I was at work and make it "frog's @$$ water-tight". That was November 2014. I've been trying to reach him, but his voice mail box was always full. It's now mid-January. Finally managed to leave a message a few days ago... still no answer. Still seeing some moisture coming from above the door (behind the wall) I guess I'm going to have to hire another roofer. Now I'm reading reports from other clients that he's a scam artist.

The worst contractor in PA!! Hank lied to me and my wife about everything. The workers did not get paid from him and yet he was paid 18,000 for an unfinished project. We have contacted the police about him and then were told that he just got out of jail 2 years ago for ripping off home owners. STAY AWAY!!!!!

We hired V.A.S.S. Siding Company to replace our old roof, siding, and windows. The owner of V.A.S.S. Roofing & Siding Co. (Hank Buhner) came to our home to get some measurements and look at the job. That same night we received a quote. The price was very fair and reasonable apposed to the other prices we received. With the positive referrals and the comfort level we felt with Hank, we signed with V.A.S.S. Siding Company. The entire job went better than expected. From start to finish, everyone was very helpful and respectful. We could not be happier and would like to thank Hank and everyone at V.A.S.S. Siding Company.
