Great people and good customer service!! Would recommend them to any family!!

I really hope I'm the exception here, but I didn't have a good experience with Schroeder's at all. They put a good roof on, but their communication, especially from the subcontractors, is 2 out of 10. I needed good communication so I could coordinate locking my dogs inside, or sick teenager at home freaked out by unexpected men on the roof, or getting paint out of the basement and ready for the painters. In addition to the lack of communication (people not calling back when they say they will) I sometimes got counter-communication. The main office telling me the roofers will skip a day due to snow, but 10 minutes later the roofers show up. The screen guy will show up on Saturday morning, but didn't, and I didn't hear anything from him until I called in a week later. The lack of respect for my property was another reason I'm unsatisfied with Schroeder's. After the roofers cleaned up and left, I went out and picked up a handful of trash and nails. I found another nail with my foot a couple days later (luckily it wasn't the sharp end of the nail). And even after two warnings in three days, I still picked up another cigarette butt when the roofers were gone. And after the gutters were replaced a week later, I found a huge (6" wide) pile of nails and debris that I'm assuming fell out of a downspout. It's not that hard to clean up after yourself when you know you're doing this kind of work! This is just after the job is done. Before we even got started, my house sat there with bundles of singles in the roof for months before someone finally called me and asked if I had materials sitting up there. I think they dropped my file on the floor behind the copier or something. I have called and asked all outstanding work to be canceled and send me a bill for the roof. I will do the rest of this stuff myself on the weekend. I'm so tired of dealing with the lack of professionalism at Schroeder's. Update Dec 2013: Since they have called me to tell me how much the bill was, I pointed the billing personnel to this review and explained my plight. She made a valiant effort to make things right, and I do feel a little better about this company thanks to her.

We used Schroeder to repair our roof after a hail storm. They did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Not only did they completely deliver on what they promised, they pointed out how other companies can scam insurance companies. I recommend them with confidence.
