A friend recommended JL Davis Roofing for a roof repair, and I am so glad we decided upon them! I contacted Mr. Davis and he immediately called me back and scheduled to come by my home to review the issue within two days of the call. Our home is a cape cod style and my husband had climbed on the second story roof multiple times to try and repair various spots of leakage around a window dormer. Although the repairs would seem to work for a bit, it would eventually begin to leak again. Finally we called Mr. Davis for the repair. He arrived, crawled into the attic space to see the leakage areas (more than one) and he and his coworker climbed on the roof for assessment. Mr. Davis said an 8x13ft area of the roof needed replacement and as a result a section of the siding on the dormer would possibly need replacement as well. We replaced the entire roof approximately 12 years ago, and have had several issues since then. Mr. Davis and employee came the next week to complete the repair. He looked at the shingles and immediately new what color/type they were and was spot on! He pulled the 8x13 section and had to replace the siding on our dormer since it was extremely brittle due to age and broke when removing. He said the previous roofing company actually placed new shingles over some of the old ones and that is the reason we were having issues. He arrived a little before 7am and was complete by 11am, and all for less than a grand. We are very impresssed with Mr. Davis work and we will definitely call him for all our future roofing needs. He will over measure the square yards of your roof to charge you more. He cuts corners and uses out dated materials. His written estimates are a shaded joke. Hard lesson learned.
