Sam… Lincolnshire Facias Sales Representative called and gave us a quote, pleasant, polite and knowledgable so we thought....? We paid our deposit and a date was set for installation of soffits, facias and guttering. Installation was crucial to new windows being fitted the following week! Upon completion of the first days work I proceeded with an inspection and was to be quite honest, flabbergasted at what I found. The two installers arrived and commenced with installing guttering ‘only’ onto the garage section. We left them unsupervised WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS. This proved too much for them as common sense went out the window. Previous years snow had caused the brackets to indent the fascia and instead of either communicating with us for advice or alternatively using their common sense to re apply new brackets directly where the old ones had been they decided to place them several inches along leaving the fascia looking like ladders had been leant on them and indented it. The whole fascia now needed replacing on both sides of the garage! The front porch trims were a disgrace, filled with mis-matched cream silicon and un-mitered joints with new cladding placed over old rather than replaced. The rear section trim to the house was not level or mitred. I was informed they could not mitre…? When the installers arrived the next morning I spoke with them directly to voice my concerns. The installer of the front porch agreed that this was not an acceptable standard and even agreed that he would not accept this on his own property but had not been able to source the correct components required. When questioned about the garage they stated that the damaged observed was because the previous brackets had been screwed on too tightly not true as stated above. They agreed they needed to source the correct products before commencing further work and packed up to go and discuss with Sam. I immediately informed Sam by text, the same person who had assured me that should there be any issues at all during installation I only had to call him and he would be round…well instead he was very unprofessional. He sent a text failed to call round returned my deposit and said that they could not complete the work to the standard we had agreed upon. Appalling! Furthermore they inconvenienced both us and our window company as the windows had to be re scheduled. NOT RECOMMENDED.
