Great customer service from asking for a quotation, choosing from our options to installation. Had my bi- folds replaced yesterday and a bathroom window. The boys were fantastic. Arrived on time, hard working and cleaned after themselves so the house was left in the state it was they arrived. Thank you. Looking forward to having my front door replaced next week!
Late last year we had aluminium bifold doors fitted by Harrow Window Centre. We were so impressed that earlier this year we decided to get the rest of the house completed. The sales representative, Ollie, was polite and informative and helped plan what we needed. Once it was handed over to the install team, we had several visits from Andy, who made adjustments and ensured it would be a smooth installation. The installation team were great - professional, quick and clean, they covered everything up so there wasn't a lot of dust on completion. Andy and the team were in contact throughout to ensure we were happy with how things were going and they even went out of their way to accommodate us by removing and reinstalling the shutters (which was something no other company was willing to do). We've had a lot of work done recently and its been hit and miss on trades people. I can however state with confidence that Harrow Window Centre is the easiest, most professional company I have dealt with, largely due to Oliver and Andy - thanks so much guys!
We've used this local business twice to fit new upvc doors & windows to homes we've owned. They're reliable with good aftercare and will continue to get repeat business from me.
Wow what a fantastic company! I cannot praise them enough, from start to finish they were brilliant. I initially dealt with Oliver who was very knowledgeable and professional, he advised me on lots of different examples for my front door and bifold doors. Their showroom was by far the best equipped to demonstrate what we were looking for. The surveyor then came to measure my windows and within 3 weeks the installation team were booked in to fit the doors. The installation team were very polite, professional and efficient. The window centre were very friendly and satisfied all my needs including a reasonable price and excellent doors. We carried out an extensive search for a company offering industry accredited products and industry qualified staff. I’m so glad we made the right decision using The Window Centre. I would highly recommend The Window Centre before looking anywhere else.
I used The Window Centre to fit new windows and doors in 2016. The job was a total disaster from start to finish. Not only was extensive damage caused in and around my house during the installation but within weeks of the installation being completed problems with both windows and doors began and continued for the next eighteen months. It was literally one thing after the other. I finally asked for a full refund and when that was refused I took them to court. Two months prior to the hearing The Window Centre settled and I received a full refund, plus costs, plus a significant amount of compensation. Not only were the upvc corners on most of the windows chipped (they repeatedly told me it’s how they’re manufactured) but the windows had not even been manufactured correctly hence slowly one by one they all began to fail. The standard of work carried out by the installers and subsequently by their service engineer was amateurish to say the least and in the expert witness report that was compiled for use at the court hearing, the surveyor stated the standard of the installation was well below what any customer should expect. After eighteen months not a single window in the house worked properly and both sets of doors were extremely draughty. During more service visits than I care to remember windows were repeatedly adjusted and lubricated, some were removed and refitted on more than one occasion, a groove was filed into a plastic frame and fixtures were removed all in an attempt to prevent the movable/opening section of the window from catching and/or scraping. The kitchen door was adjusted four times and removed and refitted twice, the patio doors were also adjusted twice and removed and refitted at least twice. Nothing they did made the slightest bit of difference. The Window Centre state in their T&C's that any damage around windows/doors will be made good, that was not done. Instead they stuck wide strips of plastic over the damaged walls and to adjacent window frames which were glued using permanent adhesive. All cracked away within a few months. Having complained about them and making it clear I had not been told they would be used, I was told I had been advised about them which is standard practice. I was able to prove unequivocally that was just one of many, many lies. In court documents the director of the company told a pack of bare faced lies but thankfully because I had documented all of our correspondence so meticulously, I was able to prove to the court what a dishonest and untrustworthy individual he was. Two years six months after the installation and I'm finally getting estimates for the draughty doors and substandard windows to be replaced. I appreciate that things don't always go to plan in business but to have to deal with a barrage of lies and put up with shoddy and amateurish workmanship from start to finish is not something you expect when dealing with a “reputable company”. I was told time and time again that The Window Centre have thousands of happy customers yet I didn't just have a few minor issues, absolutely everything went wrong and even after the expert witness confirmed both sets of doors were draughty, the company director still stated in his witness statement to the court, "Our doors are not draughty." When you look at the reviews for The Window Centre that previous customers have written, you'd think you couldn't possible go wrong and that's exactly why I used them. Using this company was a terrible mistake and since June 2016 it's been one very long headache. Even when a second director contacted me just weeks prior to the court hearing in an attempt to try and settle the matter once and for all, he stated in his email "Should you want to avoid the hassle of removing all the windows then it’s fine by me if you keep them". Considering that every single window in the house either catches, creaks or scrapes as it moves and both sets of doors are extremely draughty, why on earth would I want to keep them? That final comment just defies belief.
