Ripped me off. I paid the owner, Gary Mock, for an entire new roof to include new flashings, vents, chimney caps, etc. As Gary knew, I lived out of the area. A few months after the roof job was supposedly complete, my tenant told me it was leaking around the chimney. So, I called Gary about fifteen times over a three week period and was finally able to get him to send someone out. He said the caulking around the chimney was wrong, and it was the painters fault. He asked me to pay him more money for coming out. The problem with Gary's excuse about the painters is that he forgot I had already had the house painted BEFORE he did the roof. Clearly, his roofers had screwed up. I told him that his roofer is mistaken as the paint job was done months before I hired him to replace the roof. About another nine months later I got more calls from my tenant. Still leaking around the chimney, and in a couple of other places. My property manager tried to get a hold of him, but all the numbers he used to use with us were disconnected. We had to call another roofer who the manager often uses. The new roofer took pictures. It turns out Gary Mock had not replaced ANY of the flashings, vents, chimney cap, or other sheetmetal or wood chimney trim!! He ripped me off, knowing I would not be in the area to inspect the property until well after I had paid him, if at all. These are things that are always replaced when a roof is, but Gary apparenly knew he could cut corners and it would take me awhile to figure out because I am an out of state owner. I don't recommend Dixie Roofing or any company/person using Gary Mock, or whatever name he is doing business under now.
