We hired 5280 to replace some trim on our house and then paint it. Rob Mahoney was our project manager (you get a project manager!) and he did a great job communicating with us and keeping us posted. Eduardo and Angel replaced our siding and did an excellent job. They took great care to seal everything and installed flashing where the original builder had failed to do so. Then Carlos and his team painted our house and it looks fantastic. The attention to detail blew us away. On top of doing a top paint job the team was also very fun to talk to, very patient with all of our questions and meticulously cleaned up everything. We are recommending 5280 Exteriors to all of our friends!
So glad we contracted with 5280. They went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied with the job. We had the roof re-shingled and windows replaced. The install crews were fantastic, pleasant, and more than willing to answer questions. Rob Mahoney, our project lead, was fantastic. We would highly recommend Rob to oversee your projects. Very personable, knowledgeable, and committed to getting the job done to your satisfaction. Thanks Rob!
Will definitely recommend 5280 exteriors! They did an amazing job got my house painted by Carlos and his team couldn’t ask for more. They did an awesome job!!!
Mark, our sales guy, has been so helpful and has gone above and beyond to help us. From the time I signed the contract, though, it took a long time to get our project started and I only received updates on when it was starting because I kept bugging them. Once the project started, the work was excellent. Unfortunately, the clean up process was challenging and, in fact, was never finished. I had to clean up trash and leftover siding myself after several weeks of me trying to ask for the team to finish it out. Hard to wholeheartedly recommend them because of these challenges. Update - bumping up to a 4 star. Mick reached out, came by himself personally, and finished the job for us. Then he reassured us that if we notice anything in the next few months even that they would come back by and take care of it. I feel grateful for his apology and his personal attention to make it right.
5280 is an excellent company and it was overall very easy to work with them. It was difficult to get a live person to talk to at their administrative office and their office staff are not diligent in returning calls but their field staff were tremendous. Guy Grignon handled the initial evaluation and sales contract quickly and efficiently. Despite pressing family requirements he kept all appointments and was always on time for our field meetings, a rarity in the industry today. His explanation of available products, project requirements and timelines, and associated costs was accurate and always in easily understood layman's terms. Guy gets five (5) stars. Rob Mahoney was the Project Manager. I have worked with many project managers and Rob is by far the best I have ever encountered. His easy going, down-to-earth manner made it extremely easy to work with him throughout the project and he has a genuine desire to provide the finest finished product possible. His bottom line is that the project is not done until the client is 110% satisfied. He consistently overruled the installers in order to meet my requests (and I am pickier than most clients). He readily and cheerfully recalled the installers and painters back several times to address my mostly minor punch list items. If you can get Rob for your project you're going to do great . I would give Rob more stars if I could but I have to settle for five (5) stars. The installers are subcontractors, common in today's industry, who worked hard and very quickly, and kept a very clean worksite. The foreman , Noah, was very easy to work with and was responsive to my requests where corrections, mostly related to aesthetics, were needed. The crew tended towards shortcuts which then required callback corrections and they would have served 5280 better had they slowed down and considered how their work looked the first time rather than having to redo it. The only significant complaint is how they dealt with penetrations for exterior lights, vents, door bells, electrical outlets, hose bibs, etc. Penetrations in vinyl siding are difficult to deal with since the siding is both thin and very flexible and extra installation work is necessary. In some instances the crew placed a cosmetic collar around the penetration (a proper technique) but then failed to caulk the penetration, yet in others massive amounts of caulk were applied to the penetration but no collar was installed leaving the penetration looking unfinished and more subject to future caulk shrinkage. One exterior light fixture was left with a 3/8" open gap from the electrical box. Overall however the installers did an above average job by today's standards and will give you a good product; I give them four (4) stars. The painters are subcontractors and were the weakest part of the project. They did a very good job of ensuring the paint colors matched properly, kept a very clean worksite, and work unbelievably fast. Unfortunately they felt that all gaps, regardless of size, could be filled by paint rather than properly caulked leaving many seams with open gaps after the paint dried. Additionally, their speed resulted in unnecessary slopovers between parts with different paint colors and also their not painting some trim seams that required paint. Multiple callbacks have not resolved all problems. Their work quality is contractor grade at best, which is probably acceptable to many homeowners, but you should plan on some caulking and paint touchup on your own, or multiple callbacks under Rob's supervision; I give the painters three (3) stars.
