Our shingle roof was 20 yrs old and looked fine. Tabs could lift up in the wind so decided to have roof replaced per insurance requirements. Fortunately we did NOT wait longer because there was some rafter and plywood rotten wood that was hidden and only going to become more widespread with time. I've been in the construction business for years and prefer metal roofing for many reasons. Hoover roofing installed a 5V Galvalume metal roof after removing and disposing the old shingles. Professional installation from start to finish in every way from clean up every day to finishing metal details. Very competitive pricing also.
