Work was completed prior to our closing. A receipt and invoice was not provided, but we couldn't hold up closing over it and I knew the roof went on because we watched the work. They showed up unannounced a few weeks later after we closed to "stain our fence" so that they could get "full compensation" from the insurance company. This claim was for the previous owner of the home and he did work on it after the fact to convince the insurance company to pay the claim amount to him. For a house that their client no longer owns and work that wasn't done while they did. Not sure if that is true insurance fraud but it seemed a little off. I obliged because I still wanted a receipt then and was told "I'll send that to you". It's been a year now. No return calls or emails despite recent attempts and all is needed is just some documentation showing he replaced the roof so that our current insurance carrier will issue us an appropriate policy. If Gerald needed something to happen to get paid by the insurance company it would be handled very quickly. But after that part is over, it's pretty much been a complete vanishing act.
