Purchased a home with a year old roof built by All Brevard Roofing. One of the bathroom exhausts was roofed over as well as the dryer exhaust. The ducts were literally butting up against the roof causing a serious fire hazard. Contacting the owner “Mike” was very difficult. He didn’t return calls or texts and showed up randomly. He lied to me explaining how the previous owner “requested” the vents be blocked. If that was true the other bathroom would have been blocked and the wood would have been replaced, not just shingled over. There’s an obvious circle cutout in the attic for the exhaust, with the duct lying next to it. He then stated they don’t do ducts and wouldn’t arrange work for it to be exhausted out of the soffit instead. He attempted to refer me to a handyman so I could pay for the work or do it myself. Deceitful and shady.
