Ryman Roofing company has been in operation for over 40 years and it shows! They have displayed tremendous customer service to me and to my friends I have recommended to them. All the team members and other people I had spoken to regarding a project were addressed very promptly. Crews did excellent work and I had absolutely no issues with the work. Not to mention I highly support family owned businesses!
I contracted Ryman Construction & Roofing to build my first home. The experience was wonderful and all the crews ( including their subcontractors) were a pleasure to work with. Kyle Ryman was the production manager on the job and he kept in constant contact with me throughout the entire process. Any time I had a question or concern, it was handled immediately. I even had a situation where my home was not going to ready ( due to a straight month of rain, which of course, is out of their control) before I had to move out of the temporary home I was renting, and Kelli Ryman was able to find me housing ( a half mile from the new home) for the remaining month until my home was complete. This is the Rymans! What a wonderful family buisness with a truly wonderful staff. I highly recommend Ryman to anyone considering a new home or roofing project.
Updated on 1/11/19 Will revise review upon completion of repair. September, 2017 Contacted Ryman Roofing because of a roof leak. Sales person was courteous and professional. Quote was more expensive than 2 others (~$2400 vs ~$1375), but was explained to me that they were quoting it higher to "do the job right". Decided to go with Ryman Roofing. January, 2018 Leak appeared in the same spot as before. Production manager was dispatched (nice and courteous) and I was told that more repairs were needed. Was charged for materials. Early December, 2018 Leak appeared in the same spot as before. Reached out to production manager and office staff. They came back out and performed another repair. Late December, 2018 Leak appeared in the same spot as before. Was told by production manager that a crew would come out on December 31st to perform repair and water test, but nobody came out. Reached back out to production manager and office staff. January, 2019 Leak still not fixed, waiting for response from Ryman construction on when someone will come out to fix and water test the leak. January 11, 2019 Leak still not fixed. Ryman construction did not call me on Wednesday (1/9/19) as they said they would with a date to have the repair performed. I have followed up again leaving a voicemail and was told the production manager is not out of town. I requested a date when the repair will be completed with the receptionist who answered the call.
Long story short, I'll update to higher rating depending on fixed issue. There was poor communication between original salesman who isn't with company anymore, to our current guy, Rob. We hired this company to fix a simple roof leak that's on our addition to the house, and the original salesman Josh said that it would be easier to replace the entire roof to ensure that the leaks would stop to the addition. The house roof has been replaced, but the leak is still going on with the addition. Not only is the leak still active, but they tried charging an extra $600 for materials for them to still try to fix the leak, when we were insured by the owner that we would not be charged. They've been out to our house multiple times, and somehow this leak is still in the same spot. So far this has been a nightmare, and we have been reasonable and understandable about the issues.
Update: 9/4/18: Revised to 4 stars. The actual workers are great. Gutters cleaned and guards installed, and leaks were fixed. However, the people that do the scheduling aren't. It's as if they are afraid of the phone. Please in the future if your crew can't make it to a job site, call and let the customer know! Could be a great company if they just had more customer contact. Gutters done via Lowe's. Supposed to have gutter guards, claimed Lowe's never told them, which is possible. Lowe's asks Ryman to come back out. I get a date of 8/23. Take day off, no one shows up. Call they have no excuse and reschedule for 8/30. No one shows up. Call Lowe's and Ryman. Promise to be out today (8/31) and I'd be the first stop. Again no one shows up. Call back, promised after lunch now. Everytime I call it it's someone else's fault, or "I don't know why you were told that". The gutters are also leaking everywhere. They look nice at least. We will see if the leaks get fixed and they install gutter guards today or if I'll get another excuse this afternoon. I'll revise my post if they finally deliver.
