I received an estimate for roof damage during hurricane Irma from Brett at Joe Ward roofing. I initialed the proposal at that time, I clearly stated I was an RN and worked three days a week and that included every other weekend, so I wanted to be home when they did the work. He would not book an appointment at that time and told me to call on Monday. I called Monday and was told to call Tues. I worked Tues left the house at six get home at 8 pm, so I called on Wed again they would not book an appointment. In my mind, they did not want the work. They were giving me the run around. I had the work done by someone else. This Wed 10/25 there was a message left after 5 pm on my phone while I was at work that they wanting to do the work tomorrow(10/26) I did not get the message until today 10/27. When I called Brett he knew someone had been out and could see the patch, but he stated they did not do it "right", so he still did the work without an appointment and without calling me. I was only gone from my home yesterday from 9 am until 1 pm. I never saw them. They sent me a contract, which I never signed and I never gave them permission to go on my property. I also sent him pictures of the completed work and he is still trying to bill me. They must have come and saw the work done and left. They want to scam me! Update, There was no invoice due to it was my boyfriend, his roofer friend and me who did the work. When speaking to Mr Ward he stated they were at my house for one hour 1130-1230, it took us 5 hours. One hour is just enough time to unload your tools, see that the work was already done and then load the equipment back on the truck. They saw the work was done, because Brett stated it was not done "right". They stated they still went ahead with the repair, they could have called my cell. They settle with me for $495.00. I never made an appointment and I never signed the contract. Truthfully, I do not think they did anything. I don't care how long they have been in business, they ripped me off. BEWARE The pictures are of our work, due to they were only there for one hour. I am surprised that Mr Ward would admit to being there only one hour and then demand $495.00. you sent two of the sloppiest guys you could send. The replacement tiles are not in line with the other tiles and there is an abundance of mud that stands out from the tiles. One of the tiles did not fit and they put two pieces together with mud in the middle. It looks awful. It is no wonder that the reviews said not to use you. I cannot believe the sloppiness of this work. I will not pay you until you correct the tiles and the roof is done to my satisfaction. I also asked them for a picture of the work and I asked them to take a picture with my camera. They said they had a picture and it would be sent to me. I sincerely hope that you will do that.

Approved a quote back in mid-April for a repair on our roof and I am still waiting to be scheduled. Multiple follow-ups with the estimator have gone unanswered. Multiple follow-ups to the office have yielded the following "you are in the next batch to be scheduled in the next day or two" and then most recently "unfortunately, I have no information for you at this time due to the rain we have had".
